Guten Tag,

ich nutze Debian Lenny amd64 auf einen Intel E6600-System.

Hier mal meine Bootprobleme:
mal bleibt er hier hängen

nach ein paar Neustarts gehts dann mal... habe schon diverse Einstellungen in der Grub versucht (acpi=off, acpi=oldboot etc.) leider ohne Erfolg. Auch im BIOS hab ich ACPI mal aktiviert/deaktiviert, also wirds auch nicht wirklich daran liegen. Bin ziemlich ratlos momentan.

Sehr verwunderlich ist auch, das ich am Monitor manchmal einen hänger beim booten habe, über Putty und der serielle Schnittstelle läufts aber durch.

Ich teste grad die Bootoption "single" und bisher ist soweit alles im Lot nur weiß ich nicht ob es ratsam ist dauerhaft in diesem abgesicherten Modus zu starten. Da wird bestimmt nicht alles gestartet oder?

Was kann ich tun?

Wenn Du diese Anzeige nicht sehen willst, registriere Dich und/oder logge Dich ein.
Ja für mein RaidArray. Für die Bootplatte aber ext2 bzw. ext3.

im single user mode solltest du zb gar keinen netzwerkstack haben, dieser modus ist nur fuer maintenance gedacht.

Was kann ich tun?

logs posten, dmesg ist hier interessant. auf was fuer einem device liegt dein root? (usb, sata, lvm, md). wieviel zeit gibts du dem system, wenn er augenscheinlich haengt, mal auf eine andere tty gewechselt und geschaut was er gerade tut (mit ps zb)?

root liegt auf /dev/sda1 mit ext2 als Filesystem, die anderen Partitionen haben ext3 und das Raid XFS. Ist eine "normal" mit Sata angebunden am Mainboard.

Das System habe ich mal maximal 15min. gegeben bis ich dann den Resetknopf gedrückt habe.
mal auf eine andere tty gewechselt und geschaut was er gerade tut (mit ps zb)?

Mich wundert es stark, dass er sich auf dem Monitor aufzuhängen scheint. Wenn ich aber eine serielle Verbindung aufbaue ist er fertig mit booten bzw. bei der Passwortabfrage meines verschlüsselten Raids.

wenns wirklich monitor, grafikkarte ist, sollte man noch einen blick in /var/log/Xorg.0.log werfen (aka nopasten) .. bei dir ist die lage schwierig einzuschaetzen, da die buechse augenscheinlich willkuerlich stirbt.

Deine /etc/fstab versucht das Gerät sdb unter /raid5 mit dem Dateisystem xfs einzubinden. Und gleichzeitig lässt du das mit cryptsetup aufsperren.
