I would have liked the tasker cable, but found no vendors in the us, and no European vendors that would ship to the us. I ended up with this cable from full compass. It's two twisted pairs with a drain wire for ground...

Another cable is ready. This time, thanks to @ deveth0, only 5 wires now. Interesting enough: the minimum cable order was 50 feet. I installed the first socket and checked voltage through the cable and found 0v drop across the length of the cable... I settled on this length for now at 8 feet...

They really should put the single slot bracket on the cooler page. Its much more sturdy than the original bracket.

I agree on flow sensor, but if you must, you can certainly install in the pc. You don't need external temp sensors with d5 next. Control fans based on coolant temperature ... though, i admit I use a vision desktop unit for ambient readings and aquasuite controls fan speed based on ambient to...

This is a good list. I would recommend using heatkiller D5 mount and D5 Next, then forget about the Quadro and temp sensors all together. And your cable came out very nice!

The instructions often provided are usually lack luster at best. The manufacturer should provide a list of tools for the hardware that's included. Additionally, torque specifications should be provided. Should the user choose not to follow, that's on them. Should the manufacturer choose not to...

I think it's very safe to say that flow is too low. With adequate flow, you should see maximum 2*delta at any two points in the loop.

6* delta in the mora is a lot. What is your flow? Also, I base fan speed on coolant to air delta. The aquaero can do this naturally, but the D5 next requires the playground. Perhaps the Octo is the same.

The cable is expensive to make ... I have probably spent ~ € 130 but, I have quite a few spares and always order more than i need. buy once, cry once - my mora project is >€ 600 @deveth0 can you test your cable to see if it works, or will you wait for the mora installation?

yes - and you linked that one already - I didn't look too close then. I. would recommend the BXX-14 for the large od (~10mm) of that cable. the normal strain relief will be too small.

I will like to see your results. I read that the data lines must be twisted, and many recommended shielding (I grounded the shielding to the neutrik connectors)... But many USB cables work ok with no shielding. Also, two pairs of the neutrik connectors allows you to unplug from the mora and pc...

Because the amperage from the four nfa20 at startup may be too high for the small usb ground. I'll be interested to see if you can. I tried with the D5 Next using usb 5v, and not supplying 5v at the SATA connector and the pump would not power on. I wonder if the Octo is the same - you can check...
