That might be an actual bug. I will get the s.A tomorrow and see. It would be pity if I had it wrong the whole time. Can you please take a look at the registers document (DS an SR are at the bottom) and confirm these are the right addresses...

Yes, please check and hopefully it's just from the version you're using. For example, @digitalbath's screen from the previous page shows version 1.0 beta and not 1.0 (debug). The reason for selecting 0016 is that it did not match any value and selected the first available one in the dropdown. It...

Hi, I have responded on hwbot, but I can write it here as well, just for reference. I think you're using an older debug build (the title of the app says debug) and the latest beta is nForce2XT_1.0_beta_20200426.zip which should work correctly. The way it works is that there's a predefined list...

I have made the tweaker source public on my github account. I thought it was public already, but it wasn't. https://github.com/irusanov/nForce2-xtreme-tweaker

The last Thunderbird competition I know about was in 2013 as a stage, part of TeamCup: https://hwbot.org/competition/team_cup_2013_sc1/stage/823_2000:_thunderbird

They seem to be way harder and unstable with high FSB when I tried. At least thunderbirds. I could run 231 with mine, but had to clock under Windows. Maybe the new bioses and the ROMSIP registers would help. Think I have the highest 1M with Thunderbird on the bot, thanks to the high FSB. I have...

I've used the 6a9 from the archive, cbrom and modbin from my mod directory which I use for modding the bioses. Nothing happens with "-", it seems to be (in)active all the time. Have to see if Spitfire or Morgan have SSE detected in cpuz. PS: Most of the things it patches are not needed at all...

Btw, it says Have to try it, but this might make them faster in benchmarks? This is what it shows on a patched bios. Whether it has some effect, I have to test. No option to choose from. It would be useful on some motherboards that init unlocked CPUs at maximum multiplier "24x", mostly...

This archive contains the separate microcodes and all version of the tool, found it in a Russian forum. PS: Based on the text files I don't think it contains any K7 microcodes. Some of the CPUID's match the ones for K7 models, but they are described as microcodes for Intel (Pentium/Xeon).

diff tool under linux shows no differences, so I don't think it does anything. It creates some temp files (you can stop it from deleting them by adding / d switch) and they look similar to the extracted modules from that GB bios. Will check on windows machine later. Maybe v6 does not work either

I've tried it before and tried again now, but no matter how many times I run it, it "fixes" the same things again and again. This is for AN7, might need to run it under real Windows though. BIOS Patcher ver.6.00.alpha9. | for Award / Phoenix & AMI bioses | Attention! Advanced qualification is...

I don't think they are separate. If there are microcodes in the usual sense, then they are in the main bios module, but I can't seem to find a pattern. They definitely don't conform to the standard amd microcode format (padded 2048 bytes blocks) and can't find AMD header. Perhaps DFI have only...

These are the modules he added in the 7IXE4 modded bios. PS: This might help identify the microcode, but based on the extracted modules they should be somewhere around CPU strings. https://www.realworldtech.com/forum/?threadid=35566&curpostid=35566

Prhaps the same microcode is used for all CPUs. On AM3 boards I've noticed that the same microcode is used for more than one CPUID. Maybe check the MSI bios, since it is the most up to date?

Have you tried on the decompressed "system.bin"?

I've used this for AM2 + / AM3 bioses, but never thought I could check nForce2 bios. Might be useful to see if all microcodes are up to date. The problem is I haven't found a source (like newer CPUs have the microcodes in linux kernel) for K7 microcodes.

It's based on one of the DFI official bioses (one of the 200MHz tables), but I don't remember which one exactly. There were several tables with only one difference - reg 68. I think it was one of the later beta bioses, 505 maybe, but the table might be present in other bioses as well. Btw...

They don't react to power switch, just the red led for power is on. If I try to force the PSU to power on with paperclip between green and black pins it turns off as the protection kicks in. Once the protection didn't work and the CPU regulator blew up. So it is some sort of a short somewhere it...

The one that still lives and handles higher VDIMM is probably a newer board and it has one SMD capacitor between two of the memory MOSFTEs. Can't take pictures right now, but will do tomorrow. You can see a picture in this hwbot thread...
