The intense aerial shooter will set the skies alight across Europe on October 14th 2011. Alongside the release date, the European pre-order program was also announced, with details about the incredible limited edition fans can get their hands on.

Fans who pre-order ACE COMBAT™ ASSAULT HORIZON for Xbox 360® or PlayStation®3 at participating European retailers, will guarantee themselves a copy of the European Limited Edition while stocks last, loaded with exclusive content. Packed in a battle-ready steel case, the Limited Edition contains the game DVD, the original soundtrack on CD, a notebook signed by the development team at Project Aces, plus a card to download an exclusive playable aircraft. And all this for the same price as the standard retail edition.

Developed by the Project Aces team at NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. in Japan, ACE COMBAT™ ASSAULT HORIZON brings a new intensity to the franchise, escalating combat to the next level with aircraft that are literally torn apart, spewing oil and debris across the sky. Players will engage in combat across the globe, including over Dubai, the location of today’s LEVEL UP event. In single and multiplayer online modes, players will dodge skyscrapers and turn their enemies into fiery supersonic debris. Never before has combat been so fast and in-your-face.

- Story -

2015 EAST AFRICA - An anti-government insurgency is sweeping the continent. Local governments have requested the United Nations’ support in combating the rebel forces and pirates terrorizing the coastal areas.

The UN, in turn, calls upon NATO, which responds by sanctioning the a special military task force. The task force is soon engaged in conflict with the insurgents across Africa.

However, insurgency has the advantage of surprisingly advanced weaponry, and effective use of the African landscape in guerilla warfare. It appears that the conflict cannot be resolved as quickly as originally hoped.

U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel William Bishop and his long time friend and wingman Captain Jose “Guts” Gutierrez lead the 108th Task Force, comprised of an attack helicopter force, bomber squadron and Colonel Bishop's Warwolf fighter squadron.

The task force base in Africa is host to a large multinational military force including a UN military contingent under the command of French Air Force General Pierre La Pointe, as well as Russian support forces.

Shortly after arriving in Africa, a helicopter force on a guerilla sweeping mission is engulfed in a blinding flash of light, and blasted out of the sky by a massive shock wave.

The few helicopter crews who survive the blast are brought back to the base covered in third-degree burns. Word quickly spreads that the anti-government insurgency has developed a new type of super weapon. Before the task force has time to investigate how the insurgency succeeded in developing such advanced weaponry, the scramble alert sounds.

As Bishop and company race to secure the super weapon, the flames of battle spread across northern Africa, eventually engulfing the world.

ist mir auch Gestern aufgefallen und deswegen hab ich das heute gleich mal bereinigt

Sieht alles sehr vielversprechend aus und früher hab ich die Dinger bis zum Brechen gespielt.... blanke Action

Auf der box war Ace Combat traumhaft und fehlerhaft ... hat aber exterm viel spass gemacht. Freu mich sehr drauf - das müsste auch glaub ich das erste Ace werden für die PS3.

Ich hoffe nur da kommt keine Tekken6 Grafik.

Im Saturn verkaufen die es für 55,- ... Im netz ist es auch teuer.

Aber das ist mMn ein Musthave titel.

Die Demo hat mir gereicht. Als ich in einem der Interviews schon hörte, "wir mussten uns anpassen" machte es klick bei mir.... Komm mir vor als ob ich nen Tom Clancy's Hawx-Abklatsch spiele. Immer das gleiche Stupide... Ist halt von ner "pseudo Simulation" rüber auf komplette Action. Ich finde da Ace Combat 6 besser. Schade, aber wirtschaftliche Gründe sind halt auch wichtig für Entwickler...

Ich sehs eh als Arcade fun an^^ Wie in der Spielhalle, dafür taugt das Spiel aufjedenfall.

Am PC gibts einige Flug Sims ...

Wenn mir Ace 6 gefällt, dann brauch ich nicht die "richtigen" Simulatoren auf dem PC

Bin halt die alte Tradition gewohnt. Das jetzige is mir "zu fetzig". Auch wenn Grafik usw. i.O. sind.

Ich mach dir keinen vorwurf - ist halt dein geschmack. Ich hab zwar auch eine 360, aber jetzt AC6 dem vorziehen?

Zumal ich das Game, Online kostenlos spielen kann - auf der PS3 und das soll eine stärke sein vom Game. Mir hat die Demo sehr gut gefallen. Bin aber eher der Arcade flieger!

Jo. Is ja immer subjektiv. Diese Casualisierung ist halt entweder für Hass oder Wohlbefinden gleichermaßen entscheidend.
