DoD Source "spring"

Doug Lombardi has sent Shacknews a status update on Day of Defeat: Source along with two new screenshots. DoD:S is now slated for a "Spring" release which hopefully refers to "within the next couple of months". Here's the full announcement:

Day of Defeat: Source, Valve's World War II-themed multiplayer action game, is approaching beta and will be available early this spring via Steam. A team-based multiplayer game that cast players in the Axis vs. Allies battles of Western Europe circa 1944, Day of Defeat: Source leverages the power of the Source engine to introduce integrated physics simulation technology, all new audio, updated maps, enhanced effects and more. More information about Day of Defeat: Source will be released in the coming weeks.

Whether the Beta stage will be open to certain Steam subscribers (as with CS:Source) is yet to be seen. As can be seen from the screens, while there are plenty of upgrades, it appears DoD:S hasn't received the same graphical facelift as CS:Source.

das wird aber auch langsam zeit das es rauskommt. Habe ja schließlich das silber packet ueber steam gekauft das is es ja dabei.
Und geil siehts auch aus.

hui, schaut jedenfalls ziemlich lecker aus

auch wenns noch nicht der OBER Unterschied zum alten DoD ist...die Maps sehen quasi identisch aus, bis auf ein paar (unwichtigere) Details...

Was solls...werd eh nicht drumrum kommen...werds mir kaufen
