Hi all,

First of all my apologies in communicating in English.

Currently my system is cooled by a Aquacomputer airplex modularity system 840 rad cooling a i7-6800k and a GTX 1070sc on a single D5 pump.
However i will upgrade to a RTX4080 in the near future this card has TDP of around 400 or 450watt according to intel on the net plus a beefy cpu?
So i am planning to add another AMS 840 rad so total of TWO AMS 840 rads.
I will use a DUAL D5 pump.

Question will be can a DUAL D5 pumps (using Aquacomputer dual D5 top) handle two AMS 840 rads + cpu and gpu block + 2 pairs of QDC4's (quick release fittings) with good flow and temps?
Since these AMS rads are modulair which will be the best option stacking them on top of each other OR side by side? Will a push/pull work when these rads are stacked? Or should i better use 6 fans on each radiator?

I really need help since i believe i have better luck on a German water cooling forum for these questions about German made rads.
Thanks in advance help is much appreciated.

Hi,

two D5 can handle those rads, since they are tube radiators they don't have as much restriction as normal radiators.

In my opinion you should use 6 fans on each radiator for the best performance with quieter fans. If you put them side by side with only 6 fans for both, you give the second radiator the heated air from the first and the performance is worse.

Thanks for the reply,

I was under the impression most "normal" radiators are less restrictive then the AMS radiators, as seen in some reviews. The AMS rads are as restrictive as a regular high flow cpu block from my understanding.

I agree with the best option to use them side by side instead of on top of each other.

I am using 12 x Noiseblocker 140MM NB-BlackSilentPRO PK-2 (rpm up to 1200) fans, hooked them up on a Lamptron fan controller.

Currently my AMS 840 is standing vertically see picture:

If i add another AMS 840 should i place them side by side vertically or is it better to place them horizontally because this way the pumps don't have to push the water all the way up twice?
Is it better to use a DUAL D5 pump top or place 1 D5 pump on each rad and why?

I also wonder which one of the 2 rads is more restrictive?

1 - Aquacomputer AMS 840 rad
2 - Watercool MO-RA 420 Pro rad

I was also eyeballing the MORA but i think this rad is more restrictive even tho it uses the same tube design as the AMS rads.

Thanks in advance

Da sieht schon sehr episch aus. Kann man das mit einem Mora verbinden.
