I am reposting this from another forum

So I have just started my own company and am attending a trade show with the local chamber of commerce. I wanted to build a new rig to showcase on my booth that really set me apart from the other firms attending. I realize that making computers like this for clients will probably represent a fraction of what I do, but I really wanted to blow minds with this thing. Some architecture choices and loop design might go against the grain of what should make the perfect rig, but I am very happy with the results.

This is a DFI 790gx-m2rs with a phenom II 940, mushkin ascent ram, a 300 and 150 gig v.raptors with a 1terabyte drive for data, gtx295 and silverstone 750w ps.

Cooling is 2 mcp355's with xspc tops, 3/8 in tubing and compressions with misc bitspower 90's and rotary 45's, Anfi-tec cpu, pwm and chipset blocks and an ek block for the video card. There are 3 tfc 360 rads with a total of 14 nexus 120mm fans. The bios says 18C for the cpu temp (but that's obviously with next to NO load going on). It is also absolutely silent. I mean you can not hear a damn thing what so ever.

I would like to make a very special thank you to Andre at Anfi-Tec for getting these blocks to the states in time to complete this project on time and also for putting up with me being the most impatient customer ever. You make amazingly high quality blocks; I am extremely happy with them! (except I cant even use the sb block, did't think about how big the 295 was...oops)

Anyways, on to the pics. I'm sure this build will evolve in the weeks ahead. It doesn't even have an OS on it. It posts and all hardware is recognized. Thats good enough for me to sit on a table with no monitor attached =)

Thanks for the kind words. The camera is very new, I have a lot to learn!

Well, really nice work at all but I doubt you find a lot of customers with this...actually you have to be mad to spent such an amount of money for watercooling. I don't exactly know where you wanna exhibit this case but I guess most people wouldn't honour the value of the obstructed components...
For your purpose to stand out from competitors, your case looks a bit too conventional IMHO.

The cases SOLE purpose was to start conversations. My company is an IT consulting firm, custom builds is a tiny fraction of what to do. I just wanted to show people who didn't even know this stuff existed that they have an IT firm in town that operates at the cutting edge of tech (at least in thier eyes).

And with the trade show now a week past, I made a lot of great new contacts that have become clients, so it succeeded in its mission! And now I have a great pc for the home office =)

If you want to boast with the performance after you've turned it on, consider using SSDs (perferrably Intels or Mtrons) instead of Raptors...

I'm waiting for the prices to come down on ssd's before I make an architectural shift.
