Quantum LTO 5 Bandlaufwerk HBA Probleme

Hi Leute, Ich hab hier ein Quantum LTO 5 Laufwerk liegen (HH Model B) welches in meiner Workstation dienen soll.

Problem Dabei,

Ich habe nun das Laufwerk mittels einem LSI SAS3081E-R (IT Mode) angeschlossen da ich diesen noch rumliegen hatte, Das Laufwerk wird erkannt ich kann das Tape auch mit dem LTFS Tool formatieren und mounten aber sobald ich versuche Daten auf das Tape zu schreiben bricht die Verbindung zum Laufwerk ab.

Ich habe nun mittels XTalk eine Laufwerksdiagnose durchführen wollen aber auch diese schlägt beim Schreibversuch fehl.

Meiner Vermutung nach liegt das Problem am HBA aber bevor ich einen neuen kaufe (LSI 9211-8I Steht auf der Support list) wollte ich mal nachhören ob jemand das Problem kennt und es vielleicht doch am Laufwerk liegt?
 
Wenn Du diese Anzeige nicht sehen willst, registriere Dich und/oder logge Dich ein.
Es kann sowohl am HBA als auch am Kabel oder am Laufwerk liegen.

Ist die Firmware von HBA und Laufwerk aktuell? Ist das Kabel vielleicht eins, mit dem mehrere Geräte (SFF-8482) an einen Anschluss (SFF-8484 oder SFF-8087) angeschlossen werden können? Wenn ja, hast Du es mal mit einem der anderen drei Kabel versucht? Welche Software nutzt Du zum Sichern? Wenn die Verbindung abbricht, was kommt als Meldung in diesem Programm und in der System-Ereignisanzeige?
 
Ich habe das Laufwerk als auch den HBA auf den Aktuellsten Stand gebracht. Zwecks Software habe ich das LTFS Toll genutzt um das Tape als Laufwerk unter Win zu Mounten.
Um das ganze gegenzuprüfen habe ich eben Z-Datdump getestet, auch hier lässt sich das Tape einwandfrei Formatieren, sobald ich auf das Band schreibe kommt folgende Fehlermeldung:

MSG:55- Die angegebene Netzwerkressource bzw. das angegebene Gerät ist nicht mehr verfügbar.

Das Kabel Tausch ich gleich mal.

Hmmm,

jetzt hatte ich das Laufwerk an dem 2ten Kabel angeschlossen --> Laufwerk geht garnicht in den Ready Status.

Dann hab ich wieder auf den ersten Anschluss gewechselt und plötzlich kann ich auf das Tape Schreiben, allerdings nicht lange:wut: mal schaff ich 1GB mal 10GB.

Ich werd jetzt mal das Kabel kommplett tauschen.

Hey, ich habe exakt dieselbe Problematik, allerdings kann ich z.B. mit Veeam oder Proxmox Backup problemlos schreiben/lesen.
@michathe Hat es bei dir auf Dauer mit dem anderen Kabel funktioniert?
