erklärt mir mal bitte kurz was so toll an dieser cd sein soll, so wies aussieht sind ne reihe von hardwaretools drauf und formatierprogramme. aber fdsik hätt ich doch auch auf ner bootfähigen 98 cd oder nich?

ja, aber fast ALLE tools auf der cd wären nur in floppy-format möglich...
du kannst natürlich auch 30 floppy-disks herstellen

du hast EINE CD und mehrere möglichkeiten, bei problemen etc. dein system ohne betriebssystem zu checken!

nö, ist es nicht!
auf der "hersteller"-seite gibt´s mehr infos...

und ich glaube, dem erfinder der ultimatebootcd würde es auch eher gefallen, wenn man sich die cd von seiner seite zieht und nicht von der chip-hp!

Fixed a couple of errors in cdshell.ini. Thanks to SebastienG for spotting them.

Adrian Stanciu suggested that the size of the final ISO could be decreased by zeroing all the unused bytes. Well, I couldn't follow his instructions exactly since he runs Linux, but I was able to do it for some of the disk images under Windows by writing a simple C program and working on images that I could mount using VFD. The result was quite satisfactory. It managed to shave a couple of megabytes off the final 7z archive.
Switched to self-extracting archive of ISO image.

vor allendingen nicht jeder hat noch nen floppy laufwerk so wie ich. bei mir ist das ding raus geflogen.

ach ja auf diese seite bin ich gestoßen als ich vor dem elendigen versuch stand ein bios update ohne floppy disk zu machen.
