x470 vs B550

I already have a 3800x processor and I have the opportunity to pair it with an ASRock motherboard (at a very good price). Do you think it's worth taking? Or do I better switch to a B550 chipset board? I mention that it will not be used for competitive gaming, rather 1080p, just something multitasking with 3d application and something in backgroud. I have the possibility to mount an ssd m.2 nvme for OS but I don't know how much I gain on the memory side with the new chipset.

Hey and welcome

if you not plan to use an PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD nor an PCIe 4.0 GPU, it dont worth the additional price. But if you plan to add such stuff in the future it could make sense.

Your answer made me think twice and I prefer to keep this board because with the switch to pcie 4.0 there is not a major benefit me, in any way.
I'll need to choose for a pair of RAM that will reconcile well with this x470 chipset card
