Nach der Vorstellung der nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra Mitte April gehörte Anfang der Woche ATIs Radeon X800 mit R420-Chip die Bühne. Entsprechend zahlreich waren die Artikel, die zu dem Launch veröffentlicht wurden. Mainboard-Berichte gab es zwar nicht so viele, aber es sind einige Seiten, die sich VIAs K8T800 Pro Chipsatz näher angesehen haben.
