Nachdem Corsair vor einiger Zeit die ersten eigenen Netzteile präsentierte, gehört der Hersteller in der Zwischenzeit zu den etablierten Netzteillieferanten im High-End-Bereich. Nun hat das amerikanische Unternehmen mit dem CX400W-Netzteil das erste Modell der neuen Power-Serie vorgestellt. Das erste Modell kommt mit einer maximalen Ausgangsleistung von 400 Watt daher und soll die Corsair-Netzteile auch für normale Anwender lohnenswert machen. Das 400-Watt-Netzteil besitzt neben einer 12-Volt-Leitung, welche mit 30 Ampere aufwartet, eine 3,3-Volt-Schiene sowie eine 5-Volt-Schiene mit jeweils 20 Ampere. Im Inneren soll ein temperaturgeregelter 120-mm-Lüfter für die erforderliche Frischluft sorgen. Die einzelnen Kabel sind allesamt mit Geflechtschlauch ummantelt.
