Mit dem EP-9GF6100-M hat [url=http://www.epox.nl/]EPoX[/url] nun auch sein Mainboard mit NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Chipsatz vorgestellt. Neben der Unterstützung für alle Sockel 939 Prozessoren bietet das Mainboard noch 1x PCI-Express x16, 1x PCI-Express x1 und 2x PCI. Dabei will EPoX das Mainboard nicht nur als Workstation Board verkaufen, was die Möglichkeit den HTT Takt auf 450 MHz zu setzen verdeutlicht. The onboard 2 SATA II interface with of up to 3.0 Gbps and NCQ function for higher information exchange speed between the hard disk will save lots of the time. Hot-plug is also a basic function for all SATA II interfaces and RAID 0 and 1 are provided too. Another 4 channels of UltraDMA 133/100/66 are available for optical devices. For high end audio quality, it uses Realtek ALC655 chip to obtain 5.1 channel of theater-liked sound. 100MbE LAN is a standard function on EP-9GF6100-M through Realtek RTL8201CL F-Ethernet PHY. 8 USB2.0 ports with the speed of 480Mbps are there to fulfill the needs of the users to connect to other USB supported devices.

EPoX Thunder Probe

Another useful goody is Thunder Probe, a useful hardware monitoring software bundled with EP-9GF6100-M. It can detect the hardware voltage, temperature, hardware speed and Smart Fan that supports intelligent fan speed controller to reduce fan noise. And also with “Ghost Monitor”, a separate semi-transparent window for users to monitor the status of the system with ease.
