Skype hat soeben eine neue Version der gleichnamigen VoIP-Software für Mac OS veröffentlicht. Größte Änderung ist der vollständige Support von Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion" und für HD-Videotelefonie. "Skype 5.3 for Mac OS X is built to work with Apple's newest desktop operating system, Lion, in addition to being compatible with past versions of OS X going all the way back to Leopard. With Skype 5.3 for Mac OS X, you'll also be able to send and receive HD quality video when talking to your friends and family."
Für die HD-Videotelefonie ist natürlich eine HD-Kamera nötig - beispielsweise die eingebaute FaceTime-HD-Kamera vieler MacBooks. Der Download von Skype 5.3 ist an dieser Stelle möglich.
