    Scythe confirms AM4 Compatibility and announces AM4 Mounting Kits

    Japanese cooling expert Scythe confirms compatibility to the new socket AM4 and announces availability of AM4 mounting kits for it’s CPU cooler product range. There are more than a handful of CPU cooler models, which are already compatible to the new Ryzen™ CPUs. Other models, such as the Scythe Mugen 5, can be easily upgraded thanks to the new AM4 mounting kit.

    Many of the Scythe CPU Coolers are already compatible to the new socket AM4. Scythe confirms the compatibility of those models, that are using the original AMD™ retention module. The following models are ready to be used with Ryzen™ CPU:

Back to Topic, ich hoffe einfach es wird auch gute Boards OHNE RGB oder Designmüll geben, also eine AM4 Version von Supero C7Z370-CG-L Preisvergleich Geizhals Deutschland

Wunderschön, funktionell, hochwertig.



Hoffentlich bekommen die Boardhersteller es dieses mal hin ein paar mehr Boards rauszubringen, AM4 ist im Vergleich zu Coffee Lake und Sky/Kabylake Boards einfach zu stark vernachlässigt worden. (Am schlimmsten war es bei ITX)
 
Mist...scheinbar will Gigabyte bei den SATA-Anschlüssen kräftig sparen.
Hoffe mal das von den anderen noch Boards mit 8 Satas rauskommen, sonst wird es wohl doch ein X370 Board.

Das Gigabyte sieht wirklich gut aus mit seinen PowIRstage VRM und funktionalen Kühlkörpern.

Dann habe ich die fehlenden Videoausgänge bemerkt :-[
 
Naja okay, aber wer bitte verwendet bei so nem Board schon die interne GPU bzw. überhaupt ne CPU mit iGPU? :wink:

Blöd das Gigabyte die m.2 SSD-Slots bei dem Mainboard auch wieder bei den PCIe-Slots angebracht hat.

Merks an meinem AX370 K7, dass die nvme drosselt da die Graka Hitze abstrahlt. Ob das "Blech" da Abhilfe schaffen soll muss man dann sehen...

Aber immerhin liefert man bei dem Modell wenigstens Hitzeschilder mit :)

Ne Sache die ich bei meinem Mainboard vermisst habe.
 
Evtl. gibt es ja dann wieder Alu-Dinger bei den Brettern, die ca. 115-135,- kosten?
 
Ob das ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero WI-FI (X470) wohl Grafikausgänge für die APUs besitzt?

Ich bin sehr gespannt über das April Lineup, zumal bei mir HTPC Upgade und Aufbau eines Single-Vsan ESX ansteht :)

Hoffe da auf ein paar schöne µATX Mainboards und hoffentlich eins mit ordentlich SATA Ports, ein/zwei m.2. Keys und 64 GB ECC RAM :)

Ich sag jetzt mal ganz frech: Nein!
Das Crosshair ist ein Enthusiasten Board, das sich zudem, wie auch schon die Namensgebung verrät (ROG = Republic of Gamers), an Gamer richtet. Und Gamer stecken sich eine oder zwei 1080 Ti aufs Brett. Die brauchen keine APU. Außerdem ist ein Markenzeichen der Crosshair Boards die Vielzahl an USB Ports am I/O Panel. Dazu die ClearCMOS und BIOS Flashback Tasten und ein Maximum an Audio Anschlüssen. Da bleibt gar kein Platz für ein oder zwei Videoausgänge.

War das eine Lock-/Fangfrage? :rolleyes:
 
wer sagt dass sich das alles ausschließen muss? 1 HDMI und 1 USB-C würden doch eigentlich schon ausreichen.
Wie sieht's mit dem Gegenbeispiel aus (ist zwar kein Crosshair, aber ist ja auch kein AMx-Sockel)? Ist wohl nix für Enthusiasten für den Sockel?

Mich würde es freuen wenn es tatsächlich so käme. Sagt ja nicht dass man eine benutzen muss, aber es schließt sie auch nicht von vornherein aus. Wichtiger sind natürlich die Mini-ITX Boards (also z.B. die Strix-Boards)

@curious: Das war keine Fangfrage, sondern schon ganz ernst gemeint. Denn mir kommt nichts anderes als eine APU in den Rechner und das Hero ist bei ASUS ja eigentlich eher ein Mitteklasse-Modell im ROG Lineup. Tatsächlich sollten sich das Hero und Extreme bei der Next-Gen wohl tatsächlich mehr unterscheiden, da es bei den VIer Modellen kaum einen Grund gab überhaupt zum eigentlichen Flaggschiff dem Extreme (welches normalerweise der Devise folgt: Mehr von Allem!) zu greifen.

@Neo52: Ich hätte lieber DisplayPort als HDMI, weil man daran problemlos jeden anderen Ausgang adaptieren kann, oder besser gleich beides. Der FM2 Vergleich hinkt allerdings etwas, weil die High End CPUs für FM2+ eben die APUs selbst waren. In jedem Fall gibt es im µATX Bereich noch Platz für neue und besser ausgestattete Modelle, das ist im Moment noch immer der eine Formfaktor um den man besser einen Bogen machen sollte. Sonst haben die anderen Hersteller und zuletzt MSI mit dem B350I Pro AC ja schon gezeigt, wie ein gelungenes ITX Modell aussehen kann (mit gutem VRM und Videoausgängen).

natürlich hinkt der Vergleich etwas, aber auf AMDs Seite gibt es wohl kaum einen besseren, da das das einzige Board mit Display-Ausgängen war (ASUS ROG). Ich finde die Frage trotzdem recht ordentlich und bin auch auf die Antwort sehr gespannt.

Auf der Intel Seite ist das ja schon seit Ewigkeiten üblich, aber bei AMD wurden ja die APUs immer recht stiefmüttlerlich behandelt :(

P.S. DP ist mir auch wichtig, da ich meinen 34" eigentlich fast überall damit anbinde, aber HDMI ist auch nett, wenn man tatsächlich mal an nen TV möchte.
 
 
Ich würde mir dann mal wünschen, dass AMD bei den Ryzen der Neuauflage mal den ECC Support zertifiziert. Dann würden sich wohl auch MB Hersteller an (ernstzunehmende) AM4 Workstation Boards trauen...
 
Dies wäre schön, aber bei Heimanwendern ist dies Feature normalerweise nicht sehr nachgefragt. Dies würde ich vielleicht bei den Pro erwarten oder ggf. bei einer neuen Serie die dann gegen die kleineren Xeon positioniert wird.
 
Du bist hier im völlig falschen thread gelandet.

An Deiner Stelle würde ich lieber ein paar Kröten mehr in Riegel mit Samsung B-die investieren. Damit wirst Du glücklicher als mit den Hynix Chips auf den verlinkten Kits.
 
Ich muss sagen das liest sich alles recht vielversprechend. Mal sehen was der Test nach release so bringt.

Eventuell werde ich ja doch mal schneller mein Board wechseln als gedacht.
 
Gibt es eigentlich irgendwelche News bezüglich:
- Boards in MATX oder MITX mit HDMI2?
- Irgendwelche APU onboard boards?

Wäre beides, insbesondere letzteres, für einen HTPC interessant.
 
vor nem halben Jahr oder so hieß es aber mal das die neuen APUs kein HDMI 2.0 unterstützen wenn ich mich recht entsinne. Da wird das wohl auch nicht viel helfen, aber neue Boards bedeuten ja auch mehr Auswahl und ne höhere Wahrscheinlichkeit dass es mal passt
