Today saw the much anticipated and long awaited public release of Mak-Corp's Formula 1 2007 mod for Simbin's RACE series. Simulating the 2007 F1 season, this modification brings the world's top motorsport to Simbin's RACE series for the very first time.
This is the League edition, all cars have the same physics and aerodynamics characteristics but differ in sound and of course, appearance. All 22 cars from the 2007 season are featured. The Personal edition will be released at a later date. The mod download is exclusive to RaceDepartment until the end of March 2010.
Originally built for rFactor by Mak-Corp, this mod is much more than a straight conversion. Günthar Rowe has built it almost from ground up, the physics are completely new and the car models much improved from their already high standards. Günthar has poured countless hours of hard work into this project, overcoming many hurdles along the way. Many of these hurdles would not have been overcome without the determination also of Eric Kaczmarek.
Many thanks also go out to the many beta testers at RaceDepartment, Arno Hoog, Ventis Didrihsons and Niklas Vesterinen are just a few that come to mind. Their input was essential in allowing Gunthar to develop the mod in the right direction. Thanks also go to Patrick Teil, who engineered an in-game 7th gear adjustment into his MotecAdd telemetry program.
