So my brother accidentally found his pre ordering form for his “new” pc from back then… Killer system… I still have that cpu (but not more). That is about €6000 in Gulden.

I tested the cpu to work. And I noticed 2 bad solid caps. I replaced them. Now to test if the board posts. I hope to do that this weekend. Edit: Board is now working again.

I am glad I could do it. This was my 2nd run on ln2 with this cpu. The first run was not so good. This time at -40C I already knew it was in there. It had so much room left. If I could run it unlocked, I would for sure do 4.2GHz. At -80C it already booted better then at -75C. So still scaling...

Nice temps. I had a purple Cascade which could run -90C to -110C. I sold that unit. I still have a Single Stage, -60C and 25900 btu. FX (s940) ran within a -57 to -59C range or so. All colder then -60C I do with LN2 these days.

How cold does the 3 stage go?

that is a lot. Mine are not that good as well. They seem to be the lower bin of the Tb’s. So my best does better, but not that much… Bad cooling might inderd degrade them. I have seen degraded cpu’s.
