Sorry for English, this is great forum but don't know German :p

I'm buying 24'' LCD non TN shit ;) but the problem is in size, I have only like

54-55cm WIDTH wide space available on my desk, height and deep shouldn't be a problem....

so i see this LCD's :

ACER AL2416WAs (ET.F16WE.A02) 577X457X221 369€
BENQ FP241W Z 567x367x81.8 mm appx 589€
Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP appx 600€
Abmessungen (H x B x T) – (mit Fuß eingefahren – ausgefahren)
396,8 mm - 496,8 mm x 559,7 mm x 207,6 mm
DAEWOO LCD24KAL 24" wide format TFT Screen (5 ms) - Swivel 296€ 518.4 x 324 x 100 mm ???????? seems clone of DS-245W ?
Hyundai W241D, 24" TFT (DDL2401WD) 527€ 579 x 455 x 240 mm
IOLAIR MB24W 24" wide format TFT Screen 6 ms 300€ 570 x 250 x 463 mm
LG Electronics Flatron L245WP 560 mm x 444,5 mm x 270,2 mm appx 560€
NEC MultiSync LCD2470WNX-BK appx 600€ 559 x 420 x 270
PIXMANIA L2442wd 24" wide format TFT Screen (6 ms) 280€ 532 x 401.5 x 244 mm CAN BE THIS REAL?

I'm really in dilema which one to choose, 54-55cm W max is the only option

HILFE :teufel:

for what do you want to use the monitor? ;)

multimedia, office, games, graphic design.....

kmetek - I think you wont find any 24 inch TFT less than 560mm wide. Maybee you should stick to 22inch - there should be one new 1920x1200 but I forget from who.

this one but it's really expansive for the size.
On the contrary! It has got an S-PVA Panel and you can't compare it to other 22" monitors with TN Panel. The only other 22" available with VA Panel is from Eizo - it's also great but far more expensive than the Lenovo. (Eizo S2231W) If you want so stick to 24" I would also prefer an Eizo Model, the S2431W. Width is 566mm here. As already mentioned you could also buy a 22" inch Model - if you don't need full HD resolution you can choose from more than one model ;)

Little offtopic: Where are you from? Are you going to buy the monitor in germany or somewhere else?

If the Daewoo was available at a trustworthy reseller, I would have ordered it long ago. The problem is: PIXMANIA, but I already told you about that. The monitor seems to be perfect price/performance-wise. All the other screens are either overpriced, lack the needed build quality, or have other drawbacks, IMHO.

Actually I'm thinking about ordering the Daewoo. I found out that an acquaintance, who runs a little one man business, could order the monitor for me. So, if there was a problem, he would have to deal with Pixmania and according to him he's got a personal contact there and never experienced any problems at all. :hmm:

I had that LENOVO 22, was testing it for 3 days at home......wasn't able to find right colour/picture etc....

seppli DELL is 55,97cm :P

someone from my country ordered DAEWOO LCD24KAL 24" and he'll measure and review the monitor as soon he gets it.

I hope the reviews will be as good as the ones already seen on the American sites, for the Doublesight twin. :)

The first user review that I've seen on prad.de looks very promising to say the least. Real competition for all the budget clones with bad build quality, like Yuraku, IOLAIR, and so on. It seems the PCBANK monitors have both, good, solid build quality and a great picture, due to the premium panel.

If the prices keep dropping, the only real question is: 24" or maybe even bigger? :d

Pixmania always seems to be a hit or miss. I ordered there twice. The first order was okay, as I received everything as planned. On the second order, though, the package was damaged and so was the piece that I had ordered. They never paid me back my money and never sent someone to pick it up here, although they promised to do so. GREAT! So, either you are lucky, or you are f***ed. :d There doesn't seem to be anything inbetween these two possibilities. Either the one or the other.

celemin1gig: you got every right to sue them :)

Not for a few EUROs. I'll save the time and the stress that it'd cause. Still it shows their buisness policy.
I mean of course you are absolutely right that I could sue them. But for the money that I'm talking about, I'll rather spend the time with my girlfriend or family for example instead of stressing myself because of these idiots.

The moot point is just if this also is exactly why they can keep on doing it. A lot of people just don't have the time to take care of these problems. Sad but true. If I had ordered the monitor there and they would have pulled of something similar, I sure would've sued them already.
