[Gelöst] Asus Prime X470-Pro und G.Skill RipJaws V schwarz DDR4-3200

Hallo,

ich steige mal direkt mit meinem Problem ein:

Ich habe ein Asus Prime X470-Pro Board und dazu 2x 16GB (2x 8192MB) G.Skill RipJaws V schwarz DDR4-3200 zusammengebaut. CPU ist ein Ryzen 7 2700X.
Das Board wurde vorab schon auf die neuste Version 4018 vom Verkäufer geupdatet. (vorher 4011)
Im BIOS werden alle 4 8GB Riegel mit einer Taktrate von 2133Mhz angezeigt, jedoch bei den Systeminformationen im BIOS sowie im Windows Taskmanager sollen nur 16GB da sein.
In der Systemübersicht von Windows steht "32GB 15,9 verwendbar".
In CPU-Z werden alle 4 Riegel erkannt und 32GB angezeigt. Nun habe ich schon herumprobiert und folgendes getan:
  • Riegel untereinander getauscht - Besatzung 4 Riegel: alle 4 Riegel werden im BIOS erkannt, jedoch wieder nur 16GB als Systemspeicher im BIOS und Windows angegeben
  • 2 Riegel im Dual-Chanel (A1 - B1 und A2 und B2 getestet): beide Riegel werden im BIOS erkannt, jedoch wird nun nur 8GB als Systemspeicher im BIOS und Windows angegeben
  • andere 2 Riegel im Dual-Channel (A2 und B2): selbes wie oben, nur 8GB als Systemspeicher im BIOS, es werden jedoch alle Riegel aufgelistet
  • 2 Riegel (im Single Channel?), also auf A1 und A2: selbes wie oben
  • 2 Riegel (im Single Channel?), also auf B1 und B2: selbes wie oben


Nach mehr als 4 Stunden bin ich nun langsam verzweifelt. Kann es sein, dass der RAM gar nicht mit diesem Motherboard kompatibel ist oder kann ein defekt des Boards vorliegen?

Hier einmal die Ausgabe von CPU-Z bei voller Bestückung (4x8GB), laut Windows nur 16GB Ram verwendbar und das BIOS zählt auch nur 16GB, alle 4 Riegel werden jedoch mit Taktraten als 8GB Riegel erkannt:

Das Phänomen hatte ich auch vor ca. einem Jahr mit den besagten Riegeln.

Stecke bitte alle einzeln rein. Also mit jedem Riegel einmal starten.

Dann überprüfe die Riegel untereinander auf Sichtprüfung.

Bei mir war damals ein Widerstand einfach nicht da.
Habe die Riegel dann umgetauscht und dann lief es.

Board defekt würde ich hier ausschließen.
 
Dual Channel bekommst du nur, wenn du sie jeweils in A1+B1 oder A2+B2 steckst bzw immer in die gleichfarbigen Slots.

Was für einen CPU Kühler verwendest du?

Hast du mal alle Slots überprüft ob da irgendein Fussel oder sonstiger Fremdkörper drinnen steckt?
Wenn du den Ram eingesteckt hast bitte nochmal auf beiden Seiten nachdrücken. Auch wenn der Ram eingerastet ist, kannst du ihn immer noch ein Stück nachdrücken.
 
Das mit dem Dual Channel ist mir schon klar, habe ich auch oben so geschrieben.
Ich benutze erstmal den boxes Kühler von AMD.
Der RAM wurde mehrmals umgesteckt und auch richtig reingedrückt und auch mit Druckluft die RAM Schächte ausgepustet.
Erwähnenswert wäre auch, dass der PC nicht startet, wenn bei 2 Riegeln bei D.O.C.P das Profil des RAMs ausgewählt wird, sodass der RAM auf den richtigen Taktraten läuft.
Ich werde den RAM heute austauschen gegen einen anderen und werde dann nochmals berichten.

Sieht so aus als wären bei dir 2 Ram Moduele defekt oder 2 deiner Slots funktionieren nicht. Ich tippe mal auf A1+B1. Oft hilft es in dem Fall schon den CPU Kühler und die CPU nochmal aus- und einzubauen.

DDR4-3200 wird du bei Vollbestückung bei diesem Board nicht erreichen. Rechne eher so mit 2933. Wenn du hohen Takt erreichen willst, dann wären 2x16GB sinnvoller.
 
Ah OK, dann werde ich die CPU nochmals neu einsetzen und die RAM Slots durchtesten mit nur einem Riegel bevor irgendwas Retoure geht, was nicht defekt ist.
 
Also ich habe nun folgendes getestet:

RAM-Riegel Nr.1 + Nr.2:
in B1 und A1: Bootet, jedoch nur 8/16 GB
in B2 und A2: Bootet, jedoch nur 8/16 GB

Taktraten, egal ob einzeln oder zusammen im Dual-Channel liegen bei 2133 Mhz. D.O.C.P, also die Auswahl eines XMP, funktioniert nicht. Der Rechner will nicht starten (3x) und es werden die Standardeinstellungen des BIOS geladen.
Die CPU wurde einmal demontiert und wieder montiert: keine Änderung im Verhalten.
Mir kommt der Verdacht auf, dass die komplette A-Bank des Motherboards den Dienst verweigert. Oder kann es möglich sein, dass es normal ist, dass die A-Bank bei nur einen verbauten RAM-Modul nicht "aktiv" ist?
 
Scheint wohl auf eine RMA für das Board hinaus zu laufen. Würde zwar noch empfehlen den CPU Kühler Anpressdruck zu reduzieren aber das ist bei dem Boxed Kühler nicht möglich.
 
Das Motherboard wars, hatte mir ein neues direkt zum Testen bestellt, das Gigabyte AORUS Gaming Ultra und siehe da, alles funktioniert so wie es soll, selbst das XMP Profil und der RAM taktet derzeit bei Vollbelegung mit 2400 MHz, mal schauen, was ich dort noch rauskitzeln kann.
