Hier ist ja tote Hose bisher, dann mach ich mal den Anfang.
Überlege die 6970M in meinem P150HM gegen eine 7970M zu tauschen. Habe selber aber noch kein GPU-Upgrade in einem NB durchgeführt. Das Austauschen der GPUs sollte kein Problem sein, mit dem Auseinandernehmen von NBs hab ich Erfahrung. (Tausch von WLP, Entstauben, etc.)
Nun frage ich mich aber, wo kauft man so ne mobile GPU am besten, bzw. wie wird man die alte am besten los? Hab auch mal gelesen, dass Leute ihre alte GPU in Zahlung geben. Bzw. wie sieht das dann mit der Garantie aus? Habe ich dann Garantie auf den Rest des NBs (sofern der Händler den Eingriff genehmigt) und eine extra Garantie auf die neue GPU?

Auch wenn viele die Grafikkarten nicht offziell anbieten, verkaufen fast alle Shops die VGAs auch einzeln. Am offensichtlichsten wie bereits genannt notebookbarebone. Los wirst deine Alte (VGA ) wohl nur in der Bucht. Außer du fragst bei Clevo Deutschland an, die nehmen Grafikkarten auch in Zahlung.
Bei Clevo gibts dabei glaub nur 6 Monate Garantie auf die VGA. Wenn du beim Umbau einen Schaden durch sichtbare mechanische Einwirkung am Barebone hinterlässt, sind deine Garantieansprüche erloschen, falls dein Händler dir überhaupt genehmigt hitzerelevante Baugruppen zu tauschen. Was im Vorraus auf jedenfall am besten schriftlich per Email erfragt werden sollte.

Warum sollte Sager das dürfen und Eurocom nicht?! Zumal Eurocom auch damals schon beim D900F ne ganze Palette an VGAs angeboten hat, obwohl diese keinen offiziellen Support hatten?!

Guten Morgen, @SFVogt, erstmal Danke für Deine super Beschreibungen & Anleitungen. Ich hab mir nach dem 2. defekten Lenovo Y580 jetzt ein XMG P502 PRO (Clevo P150EM)
bestellt. Wäre super wenn Du die Möglichkeit hast da evtl. genau so detailliert drüber zu berichten wie im P170EM Thread, der ist wirklich super gemacht.
Vielleicht kommt hier ja auch noch mehr Bewegung rein, ich hoff jetzt einfach mal auf viele P502/P150EM Besitzer..
Denke auch nicht das Clevo da abmahnt, Grund wird wohl eher sein das NEXOC bei so einem Umbau keine eigene Garantie mehr bei Clevo für die Komponenten hat und somit im Garantiefall evtl. auf den Kosten sitzen bleibt.

Das P170HM unterstützt ja von Haus aus kein Enduro. Also liegt es wahrscheinlich an dem Grafikkarten-BIOS, welches Enduro Instruktionen enthält. Hast du schon versucht die 7970M mit einem anderen BIOS zu flashen?
Bei dem notebookbarebone.de Upgrade Kit handelt sich auch um eine v1.2 7970M Grafikkarte?!

Alternativ... funktioniert ein LG-Display (was ich zwar trotzdem nicht haben möchte) mit einer 7970m per Bios-Mod (spez. EDID-Firmware)? Kann mir das zufällig jemand bestätigen?

SFvogt hat Recht... wenn du eine Enduro-7970m ins HM einbaust bleibts dunkel... du musst die Karte mit einem Non-Enduro Bios flashen.
Das sollte eigtl. funktionieren, allerdings wohl nur in deinem HM und dann Blind flashen (wie immer gilt... auf eigene Gefahr).
Hallo, keine Ahnung ob es im richtigen Forenbereich ist, sorry wenn nicht.
Ich habe ein Clevo D901C mit der 8800m gtx, diese hat vor kurzem den Geistaufgegeben, in der Bucht habe ich jemanden gefunden, der den Chip austauscht für knapp 90€.
Da ich nicht 100% sicher war das es an der Karte liegt, habe ich das Gerät komplett dorthin geschickt.
Nach ca 3 Wochen ist es wieder hier und läuft "theoretisch" wieder. Leider scheint der Herr Mist gebaut zu haben, sobald man ein Spiel gestartet hat, piepst es und nach ca 10sec fährt es komplett runter.
SpeedFan konnte keinen extremen Temps auslesen.
Daher habe ich das Gehäuse geöffnet und siehe da, ein vorher nicht dagewesenes Kabel reicht vom Lüfterkabel der Grafikkarte bis zum CPU Lüfter.
Der gute Herr scheint also beim Ausbau die komplette Buchse für den Lüfter der Grafikkarte rausgerissen zu haben und hat es nun mit dem Lötkolben "gefixt".
Dieses Kabel habe ich nun entfernt und den Lüfter auf den 2ten Steckplatz der Grafikkarte eingesteckt.
Nun kann man wieder spielen, aber,
da nun ja die Karte in Slot 1 und der Lüfter an Slot 2 angeklemmt ist, läuft der Lüfter permanent auf vollast, was natürlich nervt.
Ich möchte nicht unbedingt am Mainboard rumlöten und der Herr bekommt das Gerät bestimmt nicht mehr.
Ich habe testweise die Karte in den zweiten Slot gebaut, doch da zeigt sich keine Reaktion. Muß ich das vorher im Bios umstellen ?
Ich habe ein Programm gefunden "NoteBook FanControl" was man wohl eventuell nutzen kann, um den Lüfter manuell zu steuern, dies muß man aber über Hex/Bin einstellungen ans laufen bringen.
Das scheint aber schon was für Cracks zu sein.

Mod-BIOS findest du auf der Homepage von hardwareLUXX User "Prema" ... siehe: P170HMx/NP8170 « Prema Mod
Die Intel GPU kannst du meines Wissens im P170HM nicht verwenden. OC der CPU ist vielleicht über das Intel XTU Tool möglich, bin ich mir aber auch nicht sicher.
da sieht man den Platz wo mal die Buchse für den Lüfter der Graka war.
Von dort hatte er ein Kabel rüber zum CPU Lüfter Stecker gelegt, also wurde der Lüfter der Graka nicht mehr richtig betrieben.
Mittlerweile, nach umklemmen des Lüfters auf Graka Platz 2 lief der Rechner im Spielbetrieb. Nun nach 2 Tagen piept er wieder und fährt runter.
Also war die Reparatur des Grafikchips wohl nicht erfolgreich, mal sehen ob der gute Herr diese nochmal tauscht.
Diesmal schicke ich aber nur die Graka und nicht das komplette Gerät.

Hier auf dem Bild habe ich eingezeichnet wo das Kabel langlief, inkl "kribbel" Gefühl sobald man das Gehäuse berührt hat.
Direkt am CPU Lüfter stecker sieht man noch ein wenig von dem Kabel rest.
Hey danke für die schnellen antworten. XTU hatte ich auch probiert dort konnte ich leider nichts übertakten da der Multi wohl allgemein bei den QM CPUs fest ist.
Schade das es keine anderen Möglichkeiten gibt, ist mein erster Intel lappi und von Amd kannte ich noch den Fsb zum übertakten das ist mittlerweile wohl alles überholt
gibt es denn schon mehr Leute, die evtl. eine 7970m in Ihrem p170HM verbaut haben? Mich würde interessieren wie das Ding denn nun performed und ob soweit alles gut läuft Habe einen kleinen Juckreiz im Finger, wenn ich über den Bestellbutton bei notebookbarebone.de gehe ;-)
google dich mal durch techinferno, notebookcheck und notebookreview (glaube es war letzterer). Da gibts mind. 1 thread, wo einer die 7970 in einem clevo p1xm verbaut hat. Welche Art von Garantie/Gewährleistung bietet Dir nb.barebone.de? Ich finde dazu in den AGB nichts.
