ESXi 5.5 -> on MacPro with Sanlink2 and Promise Storage

Following situation.


I have a MacPro CTO late 2014.

I have made a Software Package and installed ESXi on an USB stick. It works all very fine.

Drivers are loaded I get connection an can manage it from my Vsphere. But !!!

I can only see the internal storage.


I have connected a SANlink2 via Thunderbolt to my MacPro and the SAN is connected via FibreChannel to my Promise Vtrak.

If I boot the Macpro I can see the Promise and the connection is on fibrechannel. Well so on..


If I start my ESXi I cant the storage to configure it.

My Questions :

Is there another driver need to be installed on the ESXi? If yes, where do I get this driver?

Is there any other way to fix this issue? Any configurationstep I may have missed or something?

Do I need to configure the ports on the SAN first? Or do I even need to make a passthrough with a virtual SCSI or something to make this done?

Frage: kann ESXI Thunderbolt :??

Gibt es einen Grund, warum du im deutschen Forum diese Frage plötzlich auf Englisch stellst?
Ich geh' mal davon aus, dass du den Storage nur in einer VM brauchst → VT-D Passtrough des Thunderbolt/PCIe-Ports, ansonsten andere Hardware kaufen .

Nein, ich will den Storage für alle VM's nutzen. Es sollen 5 Mac Server, 2 Windows Server und ein Linux Server virtualisiert werden.
Wenn ich die Möglichkeit hätte andere Hardware zu kaufen, würde ich es nicht so kompliziert machen
