Heyho,

ich habe mir eine neue Tastatur zugelegt, eine QPAD MK-80. Diese ist per PS/2 und per USB (für einen USB-Hub und die Beleuchtung) angeschlossen. Wenn ich den PC herunterfahre, bleibt die Tastenbeleuchtung der Tastatur leider an. Ich habe jetzt ein wenig im Handbach gestöbert, wie ich das unterbinden kann und habe den Punkt "ErP" gefunden.

Leider brauche ich Wake on LAN, um den PC durch das NAS automatisch starten zu können. Daher ist auch keine abschaltbare Steckdose eine Option, da ich es dann wohl regelmäßig vergessen würde diese für die nächtlichen Backups einzuschalten. Aktuell hängen PC und NAS beide zusammen als Master an einer Master-Slave-USV.

Gibt es eine andere Möglichkeit, den USB-Ports den Strom zu klauen (geht ja letztendlich auch um andere mögliche Verbraucher, nicht nur um die Tastatur, da fiel es mir nur das erste Mal auf), ohne damit gleichzeitig Wake on LAN zu deaktivieren?


Am liebsten wäre mir eigentlich eine Lösung, bei der ich den PC vom Stromnetz manuell trennen kann (z.B. per Steckdosenleiste), er aber zu den beabsichtigten Backupzeiten trotzdem vom NAS wer WOL geweckt werden kann. Also quasi das NAS als Master, PC als Slave und ich kann manuell den SLAVE-Modus ausschalten, wenn ich den PC anschalten will. Falls jemandem in die Richtung was vernünftiges einfällt, brauche ich den Kram weiter oben nicht.

Was stört dich an der Beleuchtung ? Vermute du schläfst in der Nähe bzw. im Lichtfeld ?! Einfach was drüber legen, sobald du den Platz verlässt.

Oder ggf. einen USB-Schalter zwischenschalten, ist die Beleuchtung auch an mit nur PS2 Kabel ?

An eine Zeitschaltuhr dachte ich mittlerweile auch. Werde ich wohl demnächst mal einbauen.

Mich stört nicht die Beleuchtung an sich, eher der unnötige Stromverbrauch. Habe aber jetzt die Tastatur testweise einmal mit einem USB-Adapter für PS/2 angeschlossen und siehe da, die LEDs gehen aus. Ich kann sie aber weiterhin noch einschalten per Tastenkombination, auch wenn der PC aus ist. Ist halt blöd gelöst von Gigabyte, dass man die Stromversorgung der USB-Ports und die WOL-Funktion nicht getrennt ansteuern kann.

Ich müsste mal durchrechnen, was ich mit einer Zeitschaltuhr sparen kann bzw. was der PC im ausgeschalteten Zustand noch verbraucht und ab wann sich die Zeitschaltuhr rechnet.

habe ein Z77X-D3H. Die USB-Steckplätze führen noch Strom obwohl ErP im Bios eingeschaltet ist. Das NT unterstützt dieses ErP.
Am Frontpanel hab ich eine ext. HDD angeschlossen und hinten Maus, Tastatur, WLAN-Stick, XBox-Controller-Receiver und mein Fiio E10k - nichts besonderes also.
Alle LED sind aus, nur der Fiio E10k leuchtet noch und das Smartphone lässt sich theoretisch laden, also führen die USB-Steckplätze noch Strom nach dem Herunterfahren.

Nur warum? ErP hab ich doch eingeschaltet und im Handbuch oder BIOS keine andere Möglichkeit gefunden. Weiß jemand, woran es liegt?

Gigabyte hat ein ErP Problem?

Eventuell gibt es einige Z77 Mainboard-Modelle, bei denen die Funktion nicht "richtig" implementiert ist. Bei meinen beiden Z77X-UP5 TH funktioniert es allerdings problemlos (Bios F12) und bei meinem anderen Gigabyte Modellen (FM1, FM2, LGA1150) ebenfalls. Das wäre mir auf jeden Fall aufgefallen, da sonst mein KVM permanent eingeschaltet bleiben würde.

hab da mal ne Frage wollte bei meinem UD5H den Speicher ändern. Mein vorhaben will auf 16 GB DDR 3 2133 Mhz umsteigen und später die CPU 3570 ohne K gegen eine 3770K tauschen und nun meine Frage lohnen sich da die 2133 Ramms mehr als die 1600 (vielleicht ein wenig Takten)

Da man aktuell praktisch keinen Aufpreis für schnellere Modelle bezahlen muss, kannst du die zusätzliche Bandbreite und geringere Gesamtlatenz ruhig mitnehmen.
 
Stimmt der Preisunterschied ist kaum vorhanden hab mir welche gekauft muss nur noch warten bis se da sind ;-) und Zwar hab ich mir die Corsair Dominator GT 2133 Mhz CL 9 in 4x4 GB Gekauft hoffe die sind Gut

Hallo zusammen, ich bin mit meinem GA-Z77X-UD3H noch auf dem F17 UEFI und wollte jetzt mal aus Neugier schauen ob es was bringt, was aktuelleres zu flashen.
Wie is denn so der allgemeine Konsens zum F20e Beta?
Weiterführende Frage hierzu: Welche Vorteile bieten denn die von JZ modifizierten Varianten?

Auf dem Board läuft ein 3570k bei 4,2 GHz. Betriebssystem ist Windows 8.1 64-bit. Gibt es da Vorteile mit neueren UEFIs, Stichwort Fast-Boot und Secure Boot (GOP-fähige Grafikkarte vorhanden)?
 
der ramspeed bringt benchmarkttechnisch vielleicht etwas, aber sonst absolut null. anzumerken ist auch, dass 2133 nicht unbedingt immer stabil laufen. meiner läuft lieber @1600 und somit stressfrei
