GSync or FreeSync?

I am setting up a new system including monitor. Now the question is whether to go for Nvidia (970/980) with Gsync or AMD (R9 390)with Freesync - especially if I would plan to upgrade once the Pascale GPU is out. Does AMD have similar designs and is there a quality difference in Gsync vs. Freesync or other reasons to choose one over the other?

not sure why your writing in english since its afaik a german forum, but i might be wrong.

i got no real experience myself, but afaik gsync should be at least 100€+ more expensive per monitor since its has a additional module but there are fewer gsync monitors then freesync.

freesync is the future, its free and dont need a additional module
many screen manufacterer will include this

so nvidia will support it too but only after years if ther gsync dont sell well
