Neues NAS - USB-Festplatte getrennt - sporadische Neustarts

Hallo,

ich habe ein neues NAS zusammen gebaut aus folgenden Teilen:
Gehäuse: Fractal Design Node 804
Mainboard: Gigabyte B550M DS3H
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G boxed
RAM: Crucial RAM CT2K16G4DFRA32A 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22
Netzteil: be quiet! Pure Power 11 400W
M.2 SSD: Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB
Festplatte: Toshiba Enterprise Capacity MG08ACA 16TB, 512e, SATA 6Gb/s
externe Festplatte: Seagate One Touch Hub 16 TB

Auf der M.2 SSD ist als Betriebssystem OpenMediaVault in Version 6.0.46-2 (die aktuelle) installiert. Die USB-Festplatte dient der Datensicherung mit Rsnapshot.

Wenn ich das NAS neu starte, wird die USB-Festplatte wieder verbunden und arbeitet normal. Das Problem tritt aber nach 4 bis 8 Stunden wieder auf.

Außerdem scheint das NAS gelegentlich auch komplett neu zu starten. Das ist zuletzt gestern um 16:07 Uhr passiert. Ich habe das nur bemerkt, weil eine Mail vom smartd Daemon kam:

Im Syslog ist dazu nichts zu finden. Der letzte Eintrag vor dem Neustart ist von 8:18 Uhr, danach erst wieder 16:07 Uhr.

Alles wurde abgefragt, während das Problem vorhanden ist.

Im BIOS habe ich nur 2 Punkte geändert:
Settings / Platform Power / AC Back geändert von Always Off nach Always On
USB Configuration / XHCI Hand-off geändert von Enabled nach Disabled gestern nachdem die ersten Probleme mit der USB-Festplatte aufgetreten sind.

Ich bitte um Eure Hilfe. Was kann ich noch prüfen?

1) Wo hast du die USB HDD angeschlossen, vorne am Fractal Design Node 804?
Welches USB Laufwerk ist das, USB Gehäuse und HDD, bitte die exakte Hersteller Angabe?

Das könnte auf ein Problem mit dem USB 3.0 Anschluss vom Fractal Design Node 804 PC Gehäuse hinweisen, oder die USB HDD ist defekt dann stürzt der PC ebenfalls ab.
Den Front USB Anschluss vom Mainboard entfernen und nur hinten am Mainboard den USB Anschluss verwenden.

Möglicherweise hast du beim einstecken des USB 3.0 Front USB Steckers Kontakte auf dem Mainboard verbogen oder abgebrochen, dann stütz der PC ebenfalls ab.
Nach dem entfernen des Front USB 3.0 Steckers vom Mainboard die Kontakte anschauen.
Außerdem würde ich prüfen ob die USB 3.0 Stecker in der Gehäuse Front vollständig eingesteckt sind (Bild unten).

2) Mit CrystalDiskinfo die SATA Kabel und Laufwerke prüfen (auch USB), bzw. die Smart Werte auslesen.

CrystalDiskInfo listet C7 CRC-Fehler nicht als Problem, du kannst also 100% Laufwerk Gesamtzustand haben obwohl C7 tausende Einträge hat und den PC abstürzen lässt oder andere Probleme verursacht.

Bei C7 CRC-Fehler sollten hinten bei Rohwert keine Einträge (0) sein, außerdem sollten keine Einträge gelb oder rot markiert sein.
Sind bei C7 CRC-Fehler Einträge vorhanden, deutet das auf defekte SATA Kabel, defekte Controller im Laufwerk oder auf dem Mainboard, Software Fehler, Probleme mit der Stromversorgung des Mainboards oder des Laufwerks.

CrystalDiskInfo auf Dezimal umstellen, die Standard Einstellung in CrystalDiskInfo ist Hexadezimal (Anleitung Bild unten).

Welches USB Laufwerk ist das, USB Gehäuse und HDD, bitte die exakte Hersteller Angabe?

Die USB-Festplatte ist hinten angeschlossen, ich habe bisher 2 verschiedene USB-Anschlüsse versucht. Front-USB ist im Mainboard eingesteckt, wird aber nicht verwendet.
Das Modell ist "One Touch with Hub" von Seagate. P/N 3FWAPF-500 lt. Aufkleber. Welche Festplatte intern verbaut ist, kann ich leider nicht feststellen ohne das Gehäuse zu öffnen.

Den Front-USB-Stecker kann ich bei nächster Gelegenheit vom Mainboard entfernen, die Anschlüsse benötige ich nicht. Zunächst beantworte ich aber die anderen Punkte.

2) Mit CrystalDiskinfo die SATA Kabel und Laufwerke prüfen (auch USB), bzw. die Smart Werte auslesen.

Auf dem NAS läuft OMV auf Basis von Linux Debian, kein Windows. CrystalDiskinfo ist ein Windows-Programm, das ich auf dem NAS nicht ausführen kann.

Bios F15 war bereits bei der Lieferung des Mainboards installiert. UEFI defaults habe ich allerdings nicht geladen.

Ja, die beiden RAM-Bausteine stecken in den grauen RAM Slots. Das XMP Profil habe ich allerdings nicht geladen, ich habe im BIOS möglichst wenig geändert. Mache ich aber bei nächster Gelegenheit.

Ohne diesen Samsung NVMe Treiber kann es zu diversen Problemen kommen, inklusive PC abstürze.

Ich habe den Front-USB-Stecker vom Mainboard getrennt und auch gelöst gelassen. Die PINs des Steckers sind nicht verbogen.

Ich habe im Bios "Load Optimized Defaults" im BIOS ausgeführt. Danach habe ich nur wieder Settings / Platform Power / AC Back geändert von Always Off nach Always On. Alle anderen Einstellungen im Bios sind default.

SPD Info zeigt an für DDR4_A2 und DDR4_B2
Frequency: 3200
tCL: 22
tRCD: 22
tRP: 22
tRAS 52
tRC: 74

Ich warte jetzt mal ab, ob das Problem wieder auftritt.

Um 16:05 Uhr trat das gleiche Problem wieder auf, also ca. 6 Stunden nach dem Neustart nach den Bios-Änderungen. Im syslog sind die gleichen Fehlermeldungen wie im ersten Beitrag eingetragen.

Die Bios-Änderungen haben das Problem also nicht behoben. Hat jemand eine Idee, was ich noch prüfen oder testen kann?

Ich kann nicht erkennen, dass irgendetwas auf dem NAS zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht funktioniert. Aber vielleicht haben die Fehler ja mit dem generellen USB-Problem zu tun.
