Ubuntu 10.10: ATI Mobility HD2600 - Nur Konsole

Hallo,

ich habe mir gerade jetzt Ubuntu 10.10 installiert und es läuft mit meiner shared-graffikkarte ATI X1250 eigentlich alles so gut. Nun will ich aber meine 2te Grafikkarte im Notebook aktivieren, da ich über diese DVI ansteuern kann.

Das Problem ist, ich komme einfach auf keine GUI. Immer wenn ich starte, startet Ubuntu in der Konsole mit dem Login und wenn ich startx probier, sagt er mir: "no-screens found". Ich habe mir mittels "sudo apt-get install fglrx" den Treiber installiert. Ich sollte irgendwie die xorg.conf verändern, aber ich bin ziemlich neu in Linux um diese selbst zu erstellen, da es seit der neuen Ubuntu Version die xorg.conf nicht mehr gibt :grrr:

Kann mir von Euch vielleicht jemand helfen? Wäre ziemlich super, denn ich bin ein wenig am verzweifeln :shake:!

Wenn ich startx ausführe, kommt noch:

oder auch (bei anderer Konfiguration):

und bei fglrxinfo:

Habe schon gegoogelt und einiges probiert, jedoch ohne Erfolg. Habe mir den neuesten Catalyst Treiber installiert und aticonfig --initial -f ausgeführt um mir ne xorg.conf zu erzeugen, aber die scheint irgendwie nicht zu funktionieren, warum auch immer!?

Vergewissere dich dass die Spezifikationen für horizontal sync und vertical refresh unter dem Abschnitt "Monitor" vorhanden sind. Wenn das nicht der Fall ist, füge sie hinzu:

Stell die standardmäßige Farbtiefe im Abschnitt "Screen" ein:

(In den meisten Fällen wird hier der Wert 24 verwendet (True Color).)


Weiters füge die erwünschten (und möglichen) Auflösungs-Modi in den Unterabschnitt "Display" ein. Das solltst du zumindest für die Farbtiefe 24 tun z.B.:

Nein, hilft leider auch nichts, aber danke!

Ich habe jetzt schon so viel probiert! Also ich installier mir jetzt wieder Windows. Ich habe soo lange gegoogelt und auch schon Leute angefragt die das selbe Problem haben/hatten. Ihre Antwort war: Sie haben Ubuntu wieder deinstalliert, weils einfach ein zu hoher Zeitaufwand ist!

Naja, schade. Ich dachte dass ich endlich mal eine Linux Version wirklich ohne größere Probleme testen kann, aber dass scheint (noch)nicht der Fall zu sein :shake:

Auch wenn das etwas spät kommt, laut Phoronix soll der neue Catalyst 11.3 dieses Problem lösen!
