Question : Dear Sirs and Madams,
I had a GA-P35-DQ6 Board before, and it was fast and reliable.
Then I bought a GA-X48T-DQ6, and I have nothing than trouble with it. The Memory was not recognized by it although it was listed on QVL list. I watched bluescreen after bluescreen for hours until I found out that setting command rate to 2T would help.
After this I wanted to reinstall Windows Vista, but although I set CD-ROM to first boot device the board would not prompt me to boot from CD ... and many other small nasty bugs and strange behaviour.
To get rid of all this, I loaded the optimized defaults, downloaded BIOS F5 from your page and flashed it with Q-Flash - appearently with no problems. But after restart the system does not start up anymore, I cannot even get to the BIOS to reflash. CMOS reset, removing the battery, removing all peripherials ... nothing seems to help.
The PC starts, runs 5 seconds without any output on video device, then makes a short, silent "beep" and restarts just to get hung up again.
I do not know what to do anymore, please help fast.
Thank you and kind regards,
Thomas xxxxxxxx

Edit:
------
I now know more about this: It's a problem with the F5 BIOS itself, the (german) forums are crowded with angry people who flashed their X48T-DQ6 to death with BIOS F5.
I need a new board fast - please help me ! Please authorize a dealer in germany or G.B.T in Hamburg, Germany to provide a new board to all victims of F5, you can receive the defective boards LATER and then give a new BIOS to the boards, PLEASE let us not send in our boards and wait for them to be returned with a repaired BIOS! It is not our fault that the BIOS F5 you released was defective!
I do not want to be unpolite, but GIGABYTE will lose a lot of reputation here if you do not react fast on this. Many people in the various forums are very angry about this incident.
Please do not disappoint us!
Kind regards from Germany,
Thomas
