Ich habe mich entschlossen, eine XFire Liste zu erstellen, da Onlinegames meiner Meinung nach mindestens doppelt soviel Spaß machen, wenn man mit Leuten spielt, die man "kennt".



Beschreibung von XFire:


Grundsätzliches:
XFire ist grundsätzlich ein Instantmessenger für Gamer. Man registriert sich auf XFire.com, lädt sich das Tool herunter (DOWNLOAD), und gibt dann eben sein Passwort und seinen Nick, den man bei der Registrierung gewählt hat ein.
In der Menüleiste kann man dann unter "Extras / Freund hinzufügen / Nach XFire Nutzer suchen" einen neuen Freund hinzufügen.

Wenn dieser dann ein Game spielt, wird das in der Friendlist angezeigt, und man kann, wenn er ein Multiplayer Game zockt, und das Spiel das direkte joinen unterstützt direkt auf seinem Server beitreten.

Es ist auch möglich die Infos des Servers abzurufen, auf dem sich der "Kumpel" gerade befindet. Je nach Game wird dann angezeigt, wieviele und welche Spieler sich auf dem Server befinden, welche Map und welcher Mode gespielt wird. Sollte er sich außerdem auf einem Teamspeak2 oder Ventrilo Server befinden, wird auch dessen IP angezeigt.

Eigenen Nick (unabhänging vom Registrierten Namen):
Auf "Extras / Optionen" einfach den gewünschten Namen eingeben ;)

InGame Chat:
Ein weiteres Feature von XFire ist, dass man das Game, das man gerade spielt nicht mehr verlassen, bzw. minimieren muss, um zu Chatten. Dazu kann man sich eine eigene Tastenkombination festlegen: "Extras / Optionen / Chat"

Voice Chat:
Miteinander reden kann man ebenfalls.

Avatar ändern:
Im Menü auf "XFire / Mein Profil", dann auf der Website einloggen, "Edit Profil" wählen, und eben entweder eines der vordefinierten Avatare wählen, oder mit nem Link eines einbinden.

Skins ändern:
XFire bietet die Möglichkeit, die Skins zu verändern. Hier findet man eigentlich für jeden Geschmack etwas.
Anleitung zum installieren der Skins:

* Xfire Download System: Click the Download button to go to the file page. Then click the Get This File button to begin downloading. * Pre-built Installer: Click the Download button and save the .exe file. Run that .exe once the download has completed. Restart Xfire. The skin will then be installed.

Once you've installed the skin, go to the Tools Menu and choose your skin from the Skins sub-menu.

Friends in Gruppen ordnen:
Einen Rechtsklick in der Friendlist, dann "Benutzerdefinierte Gruppe hinzufügen" klicken, und alle Friends, die man in dieser Gruppe haben will hineinziehen. Nachteil: Die Freunde werden sowohl in der Kategorie "Freunde online" als auch in der Gruppe angezeigt (In der Gruppe werden alle angezeigt, auch die, die gerade offline sind).



Der Rest erklärt sich eigentlich von alleine bzw. werde ich später diesen Bereich noch ergänzen.

jep, einfach bei der freundesliste rechtsklick, dann "Benutzerdefinierte Gruppe hinzufügen"

dann hat man allerdings alle user die online sind in dieser gruppe, und auch unter "Freunde online"

Jo, also das Xfire scheint nicht stabil zu laufen... seit dem ich dass drauf hab stürzt bei mir ab und zu das F.E.A.R ab. Davor hatte ich nie ein Absturz... *grml*

Also ich hatte noch nie Probleme mit Xfire. Das ist bei mir noch nie abgestürzt.
 
es kann schonmal gelegentlich zu rucklern kommen, die durch Xfire verursacht werden, aber das ist bei mehreren Stunden zocken mal einmal oder so! Also ich habe nie das Gefühl gehabt, beim zocken durch Xfire große Probleme zu bekommen!

Dafür brauch ich den nicht ausmachen!, es sei denn man verzichtet darauf, dass andere Bekannte auch vorbeikommen zum zocken ;)

nun gut, warum sollte es bei xfire nicht auch ab und an zu serverseitigen Schwierigkeiten kommen! in ein paar Stunden geht das bestimmt wieder :fresse:
 
bei mir liegt das problem allerdings eher bei کt٨tﺍﺥ s nick ^^

außerdem ist es nicht möglich diesen "namen" mit einem | strich getrennt zu schreiben ;)

Ich habe auch ein Problem. Ich habe in CS:S das Problem, dass, wenn ich ein Spiel bei einem Freund joinen möchte, angegeben wird, dass der Server nicht antwortet. Ich denke, das liegt an meinem Router (WRT54G) und von daher habe ich alles nötige konfguriert (nach Anleitungen im Inet). Ports geforwarded usw. Nachdem es dann auch nicht ging, hoffte ich auf diesen Thread, bzw. XFire. Aber damit gehts auch nicht. Mir wird zwar angezeigt, dass Freunde online sind und spielen, aber die Buttons, um ein Spiel zu joinen, sind ausgegraut.
