Windows Server 2012 WSUS findet keine Clients

Hallo,

habe mir nach DIESER Anleitung auf meinem WS 2012 das WSUS installiert. Leider sehe ich keine Clients auf dem Server bei WSUS. Bei den Clients steht schon, dass sie vom Systemadministator verwaltet werden. Auf dem Server laufen auch DC, DNS-Server. Kann mich auch mit den Profilen perfekt anmelden.
Hatte vor kurzen einen kleinen Testserver aufgesetzt, wo das alles perfekt geklappt hat. Könnt ihr mir da weiterhelfen?

Es ist umgekehrt: die Clients müssen den WSUS finden, nicht der WSUS die Clients. ;)

Auf welchem Port läuft der WSUS? Das steht in der Verwaltungskonsole, wenn Du den Servernamen direkt unter "Update Services" anklickst. Dann siehst Du im mittleren Abschnitt unter "Vebindung" den Port. Der muss auch in der Gruppenrichtlinie eingetragen sein, in der Form https://<Servername>:<Portnummer>. Oft ist es so, dass Port 80 schon belegt ist und der WSUS deswegen standardmäßig auf den Port 8530 ausweicht.

Habe bei mir in der Gruppenrichtline stehen: https://<Server-IP>:8530. Soll ich da lieber den Servernamen schreiben?
 
IP-Adresse funktioniert auch, der Servername wird über das DNS ja auch auf die IP-Adresse aufgelöst.

Wie sieht es mit der Firewall (sowohl auf dem Server als auch auf den Clients) aus? Versuch' es mal mit komplett deaktivierten Firewalls, dann kannst Du sicher sein, dass da nichts geblockt wird.
 
Hast du die Gruppenrichtline korrekt, mit dem FQDN:Port (z.B. https://servername.domain.local:8530), konfiguriert? Du kannst auf den Clients im Verzeichnis C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log mal schauen und kontrollieren, ob die Clients versuchen mit dem WSUS-Server kontakt aufzunehmen.
 
Also, das mit der Firewall werde ich jetzt gleich testen. Wie lange dauert das ca. bis er die Verbindung zum WSUS findet?

wenn ich mich jetzt nicht täusche ist der HTTPS-Port ein anderer, ich denke 8531. Kann ich aber erst montag nachschauen.

@RogerG781: Super, das wars. Jetzt funktioniert es. Es kommen langsam aber sicher alle Clients im WSUS an.
 
übrigens, wenn du nicht Domain Member hast, die du dennoch im WSUS patchen willst -> geh einfach von einem der Domain Member WSUS Clients in die Registry, und exportier dir den kompletten Schlüssel (inkl. der Unterordner) aus: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate.

Den Spaß kannst du dann direkt auf allen Windows Clients, die die seine GPO sonst nicht erhalten würden, importieren -> und diese melden sich gleichsam direkt am WSUS ;)
