CoreCycler - Tool zum Testen der Curve Optimizer Einstellungen

Hallo
Ich habe mal wieder etwas rumgespielt, nachdem mein BIOS Update alle Settings zurückgesetzt hat. :d

Habe zuerst DOCP aktiviert und eingestellt
Dann PBO aktiviert mit Limits 200, 140, 180 und danach den Ryzen Master Curve Optimizer genutzt.
Danach dann nochmal den Corecycler und der hat mir zumindest auf dem 1. CCD die Offsets weit zurück gedreht.

Nun habe ich zwar Allcore 4,8Ghz in Call of Duty B06 z.B. und 4,7-4,75Ghz unter Cinebench23. (Was ich sehr beachtlich finde)

aber trotz um >200Mhz gestiegenem Allcore Takt ist der Cinebench Wert minimal gesunken. Ergibt das Sinn? :d

hmm, ich weiß dass der Wert da ist, aber mehr habe ich den noch nie beachtet. :d

ok, hab´s grob erlesen was das ist.
Was mach ich dagegen oder wie sollte ich neu anfangen?
 
Ich teste mit YCRUNCHER_OLD, also vor allem HNT, VST, C17. Ist der härteste mir bekannte Test. Damit ist das bombenstabil, und auch kein Clock Stretching, was mir logisch erscheint, weil auf "ausreichende Mindest-Spannung" für die härteste mögliche Vollbelastung für jeden Core getestet wurde.
 
Das Tool finde ich klasse, es hat aber einen fetten Fehler bzgl. der Umsetzung mit der automatischen Schrittanpassung der Spannung.
Standard sind ja -25 auf allen Kernen ...
Ich habe einen 7950X3D und betreibe den auch mit 200Mhz PBO, die 3D Kerne Takten aus politischen Gründen ;-) ja nicht so hoch wie die normalen. AMD fährt nur eine Einheitspannung dank nur einem Spannungswandler. Sprich es ist die natur das die 3D Kerne mehr Luft nach unten haben als die nicht 3D Kerne die eher an der Kotzgrenze laufen.
Ich poste mal meine stabilen Werte abzüglich -1 als Reserve für schlechte Fälle:

-25, -25, -23, -25, -16, -25, -21, -25,
-14, -10, -04, -07, -05, -09, -17, -13,

Lege ich jetzt am Start bei allen Kernen -25 an und Teste Kern1 braucht Windows nur mal einen Zucker auf Kern 11 zu machen der eben bei -4 bereits abschmiert, der Fehler wird dann aber natürlich dem Kern1 zugeschrieben der dann unnötig runter gesetzt wird. Bei so vielen Kernen ist es reine Glücksache nach dem System durch zu kommen! Das bei der Umsetzung nichts valides raus kommt wird man merken wenn man mehrfach kreuzweise die Testreihenfolge ändert, es kommen da gravierende Unterschiede raus. Je mehr schlechte Kerne man zuerst trifft desto genauer wird dann das Ergebnis. Mit dem Standardablauf würde so mancher Kern bei mir auch im Plus laufen obwohl es ein guter -25 Kern ist!
Man kann in der Config löblich ja auch zu beginn jedem Kern eine Spannung zuteilen, bringt nur erst mal nix ohne jeden Anhaltspunkt.
Man müsste, so mache ich es per Hand, beim testen nur beim eben aktuell prüfenden Kern die Spannung anpassen und den Rest auf 0 setzen,
Sprich Kern0 wird am Anfang mit -25 getestet und der Rest bleibt auf 0, ist Kern0 erfolgreich ermittelt worden, setzt man Kern1 auf -25 etc. Nur eben das setzen was eben auch gerade getestet wird!
So scheiden Fehler von fremden Kernen die überhaupt nicht getestet werden eben komplett aus und man kann auch ohne Angst einfach normal beim testen weiterarbeiten.
Hat man einmal die Reihe einzeln durch kann man alle Kerne noch mal mit ihrer ermittelten Spannung zusammen durchjage (optional)

zumindest den Einzeltest würde ich als fauler äh Mensch ohne Zeit zumindest mal grob in >=5 Schritten abstecken um zu sehen wo die schlechten Kerne sind. Es bringt noch mal wie gesagt überhaupt nichts wenn man Kerne bei der Spannung beschneidet die aber nicht geprüft werden und von Windows dann eben trotzdem genutzt werden und bei einer falschen Mausbewegung das System neu starten kann.
Ganz faule können das sogar on-the-fly mit dem PBO2Tuner oder SMUDebugTool machen um zu sehen wann ihre Kiste abschmiert, dazu muss man nicht ewig testen. Wirklich zuverlässig lässt sich mit Corecyler auch erst arbeiten wenn man nicht mehr über den Punkt kommt wo das System komplett abstürzt.
Auch könnte man Fehler durch falsche Kerne minimieren wenn man im Bios ein CCD abschaltet, dann hat aber Coreycler ein Problem mit der Kern Zuordnung, Weder passt dann die Anzeige Corycycler zu YCruncher zu Taskmanger, letzterem traue ich da eher, noch passt die gesetze Spannung dann. CCD Abschalten per manuellem Test ja immer, automatisch beim Stand heute auf keinen Fall, das gibt auch nur Blödsinn.
Oder man bescheißt sich selbt in dem man nur Standardtest mit Prime macht, da komm ich dann auch überall auf -30er Werte und habe eine Gold CPU.
 
Ich hab mittlerweile so viel Zeit mit einem 5800x sowie 5900x in potenzielle Optimierung (inkl. RAM) gesteckt, da hätte ich mir auch gleich ne neue CPU bzw Konfiguration gönnen können.
So tricky und unterschiedlich (je batch / cpu) war das wie mit CO/PBO meiner Meinung nach noch nie. Da würde ich lieber ein Bleistiftmod machen und entspannt den fsb oder multi erhöhen oder irgendwas an GPUs löten, Bios flashen etc. und relativ schnell ein Maximum bzw Optimum finden.
Die CPUs sind wirklich nicht mal eben feingetuned...

bräuchte da mal Hilfe.
bekomme immer mal wieder zwischendurch den Fehler "Could not read CCD fuse!"

hab ich der config irgendwas falsch?
der y-cruncher läuft dabei trotzdem weiter aber das "Kern-Fenster" aktualisiert sich nicht weiter.

Ist natürlich doof, weil das automatische Neu starten nach blackscreen anfangs super funktioniert hatte, kommt jetzt nicht mehr, da die Kerne schon besser ausgelotet sind.
Man sieht dann nur nicht mehr die Kerne durchlaufen und die Änderung des CO Werts.

Der Fehler scheint von der ZenStates Bibliothek zu kommen, die dabei verwendet wird. Allerdings kann ich dir da auch nicht weiterhelfen, ich sehe das jetzt zum ersten Mal. 😕
Vielleicht könntest du dort ein Issue erstellen, das wird zwar jetzt nicht weiterhelfen, aber könnte vielleicht zumindest eine Erklärung bringen, was da los ist.

Hmm, das klingt nach gar keiner so schlechten Idee, den CO-Wert nur für den getesteten Kern zu setzen. Muss ich mal als Feature Request eintragen und wenn ich mal wieder Zeit habe drüber nachdenken.

das stimmt wohl - "mal eben" geht das tunen per PBO nicht. Zumindest nicht wenn du ein stabiles System brauchst ^^

aber wenn das Thema dann mal durch ist und das kann u.U. Tage dauern (benötigte Zeit steigt mit der Anzahl der Kerne) hast du aber ein rock-stable System

allerdings muss mann auch einige Sachen entsprechend in der CoreCycler Config manuell anpassen um die "richtigen" d.h. fordernden Einstellugen vorzugeben

alles auf default lassen (also mit prime die einzelnen Kerne testen) bringt mal so gar nix - da kommen (viel zu hohe) Minuswerte bei rum die nie im Leben stabil sind

ebenfalls ist der neue YCruncher leider auch nicht mehr fordernd genug ^^

Gebe ich dir recht. Habe mit einer Kombination aus CoreCycler (Y-Cruncher), Prime95, Linpack, OCCT (CoreCylcer & Static) sowie einem Prime95 Blend test meinen 7950x3d ausgelotet. Leider sind dual CCDs in der Hinsicht echt sch*** und benötigen extrem viel Zuwendung. Der ganze Spaß ist mind. 6 Tage durchgelaufen & zusätzlich habe ich nochmals einen kleinen Offset bei den "schlechten" Kernen mit eingebaut.
 
Guten Morgen und ein gesundes neues Jahr wünsche ich allen.

Bin ich falsch mit meiner Annahme das alle Cores in der kompletten BIOS Default Einstellungen die Test bestehen sollten? RAM auch Default, einfach alles.

Hab manchmal das Gefühl das das es irgendwo Instabilitäten bei meiner CPU gibt.
Kern 9 und 13 steigen regelmäßig bei Kagari aus.
Oder ist das normal mit dieser harten Testreihe?
 
normalerweise ja, aber die MB Hersteller übertreiben es schonmal gerne mit ihren default Einstellungen

per default ist z.B. auch MCE an was auch alle Kerne bei Multicore Auslastung übertaktet - so z.B. bei meinem Asus Strix X670-F

um das wirklich alles auf AMD defaults zu setzen musst du selber Hand anlegen ^^

...wenn auch nur ein Kern aussteigt ist es nicht stabil!

Hmmm. Frage mich halt nur wenn ich schon bei Default aussteigende Kerne habe ob ich die CPU zum Garantietausch schicken sollte. Weiß halt da nicht die Kriterien. Hatte noch nie ne CPU tauschen müssen.
 
nochmal, die Mainboard defaults SIND NICHT die AMD defaults

das Thema hatten wir doch zuletzt ausreichend bei Intel ^^

und nur bei Intel sind da jetzt die MB defaults auch wirklich die Intel defaults

...und wenn du dann noch EXPO lädst - ist halt überhaupt gar nix mehr mit AMD defaults
 
Das habe ich ja verstanden.
Nur was müsste ich denn neben den Spezifikationen für meinen 7950x3D noch ändern damit ich die CPU auf Stabi testen kann?
Natürlich auch kein Expo.

Mir geht es halt darum ob ich einen "defekt" habe.

ich würde halt auch erstmal alles was irgendwie nach Mainboard Übertaktung aussieht deaktvieren und erst mal schauen ob dein RAM - egal ob mit oder ohne EXPO - überhaupt stabil ist

du kannst nicht beides auf einmal checken - beides beeinflusst sich gegenseitig
 
stell mal bitte deine aktuellen BIOS Settings ein - die kannst du direkt im BIOS als .txt Datei auf einen Stick speichern

ich hänge dir meine auch mal an, aber obacht, ich habe aktuell bewusst PBO und die ganzen Core Enhancements deaktiviert und fahre pauschal mit Multi 50x

Aktuell fahre ich BIOS Default, außer eingestellter Lüfterkurven.
Da wir das gleiche Board haben wirst du da nix anderes sehen als ich , außer die BIOS Version liegt zu weit auseinander. Habe das aktuelleste 2604 drauf . Kann natürlich die Default als .txt hochladen wenn du magst. Geht aber erst heut Abend da ich arbeiten bin.
Bei beiden 7950x3d die ich hatte, war der CoreCycler nicht stabil im Default Asus Bios. (PBO auf Disable war dann stabil)
CoreCycler hat mir nur geholfen den 2. CCD auszuloten. Beim 1. hat P95 Blend alle restlichen Fehler gefunden.

Die Aussage hätte ich jetzt nicht erwartet, das es bei dir im Default auch nicht stabil war.
Weiß gar nicht ob ich das jetzt gut finden soll 😜
Anscheinend haben wir dann einfach Pech mit dem Chip?!?!?!?
PBO Disabled war dann also stabil. Das teste ich dann mal als nächstes.

Dann ist Disabled statt Auto das Zauberwort 😄

Meine vorläufigen CO Werte sahen tatsächlich ähnlich aus.

Geh mal so lange Positiv bis er nicht mehr abstürzt. Meistens sind es die guten Kerne die nicht viel CO zulassen.
 
nun es scheinen die "guten Kerne" zu sein. Sie boosten am höchsten.
Wobei hoch relativ ist, egal was ich aktiviere, viel höher gehts nicht. Ganz selten sieht man so 5,5 GHz :-(

Kann ja mal mit +5 offset starten.

+5 auf beiden Kernen. Kern 9 Error.

2 Iterationen, Kern 9 auf +10 und Kern 13 auf +5 belassen, ohne Error.
Das war jetzt wieder mit BIOS Default. Also Core performance Boost und PBO auf Auto, also da wo die Errors auch waren.

CB23....welche Settings soll ich nehmen? Wieder BIOS Default?
Ist dir die Score wichtig oder der takt?
MultiScore bei BIOS Default ist ca 34k mit HWinfo offen. Glaube takt liegt bei ca 4800 auf non 3D Kernen.
Kann morgen früh vor der Arbeit mal fix nen Run machen.
Thermal Limit erreiche ich auch nicht.
Sry zu spät gesehen. PC war schon aus.

Ergebnisse scheinen zu passen.

Welche CoreCycler Version benutzt du? Ich hatte einmal das Problem, das bei mir die Version irgendwie nicht richtig funktioniert hat, ich habe sie gelöscht und eine neue heruntergeladen und diese direkt in das C: Laufwerk kopiert, vielleicht liegt es bei dir auch daran. Welche Tools benutzt du denn sonst noch zum Anpassen der V/F Kurve? Was sagt dein SP Wert & wie sehen die Werte aus?

Der Programm Ordner liegt direkt auf dem Desktop.

V/F kurve hab ich sonst per Neustart im BIOS direkt verändert, also kein Tool.
Gestern hatte ich Ropbench missbraucht um die +5/+10 einzustellen. Dort geht das auch gut und einfach und funktioniert. Er übernimmt die CO Werte dann bis zum Neustart.

SP kann ich heut Abend mal BIOS Screens machen und hochladen. Gesamt müsste 108 sein.

Der 7950x3D tut das nicht. Der will einfach nicht höher egal ob kühl oder warm. Auch egal wie ich die LLC einstelle.
Etwas mehr takt hatte ich mal Anliegen aber Weiß nicht mehr die genauen Konditionen. Müsste ich nochmal nachstellen.

Ich habe Version 0.9.6.2 verwendet.

Du kannst die V/F Kurve einfach über Ropbench oder dem SMU Debug Tool anpassen und erst dann wieder beim nächsten Neustart übernehmen.

Wenn du spannungstechnisch am Ende bist lässt er auch nicht mehr Takt zu egal, ob du kühlen kannst oder nicht. Das Boostverhalten der AMD Prozessoren hängt von vielen Faktoren ab und ist nicht immer gleich.


Ich würde mit dem RAM beginnen. Expo laden oder du stellst es selber ein (ist recht einfach, 6000MTs ist kaum Arbeit).

Und nachdem der Ram sauber läuft würde ich mich an den Prozessor wagen. Dort dann über CoreCycler unterschiedliche Lastverhalten abdecken, am besten so viele unterschiedliche Tests wie möglich um bestmöglich alle Punkte der V/F Kurve abzudecken.
