Grundsätzlich sind alle LGA1155 Sandy-Bridge CPUs kompatibel zum ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe. Wer jedoch seinen Prozzi möglichst weit übertakten möchte,
der kommt an einem Modell mit dem Zusatz "K" im Namen nicht vorbei. Denn auschliesslich diese lassen einen höheren "Turbomulti" zu. Modelle ohne "K"
besitzen einen festen maximalen "Turbomulti" und sind daher für OC ungeeignet, da der Referenztakt nur von 100MHz auf maximal 105-110MHz
erhöht werden kann (kommt sonst zu Instabilitäten!).

an die Leute, die ein Win7-Installationsproblem haben: wenn ihr von euren USB-Stick bootet, bootet er dann im UEFI oder im "alten BIOS-Modus"?
Bei meinen H67 MSI-Brett kann ich im Bootmenü "UEFI: USB Stick" oder "USB-Stick" wählen, im UEFI-Modus hat die Installation auch gezickt, im "alten" gings. Bietet das P8Z77 das auch an?

Ich konnte ebenfalls beide Möglichkeiten auswählen, hat leider nichts geholfen.
 
Im Bios, Reiter Ai Tweaker. Ist einer der oberen drei Optionen. Dort hat man sie Auswahl Auto, Manual und X.M.P (schaue aber nochmal nach wie die Option heißt)

Was andere ist jetzt komisch. Habe heute den PC nochmal vom Strom getrennt um die Kabel sauber verlegen zu können. Nach dem erneueten Anschließen und starten waren die BIOS-Einstellungen wieder auf Default gestellt. Auch taktet die CPU nicht mehr runter und läuft immer FULL-Speed. Gestern ging dies noch :motz:

Edit: Die Option nennt sich Ai Overclock Tuner. Mußt aber aufpassen das er den Multi nicht auf 41 als maximaler Wert anhebt, wie das BIOS es bei mir machte. Die zweite Möglichkeit ist die option Memory Frequenz. Dort einfach auf DDR3-1600 stellen.

Edit 2: Selbst mit der neuen BIOS-Version 1009 taktet er im IDLE (auch) nicht mehr runter. Eist und so weiter ist aktiv. Aber er läuft immer FULL-Speed. Weiß jemand wie man das wieder umgestellt bekommt?

Bei mir ist das alles sehr mysteriös, bekomme langsam den Eindruck an ein Schrottboard geraten zu sein...

abe Windows 7 64 Bit Pro nun im IDE Modus installiert bekommen. Wollte dann in regedit msahci aktivieren (das heißt dann den Wert auf "0" setzen), seltsamerweise war das schon aktiv. Also neugestartet, im Bios AHCI scharf geschaltet, rein in Windows, Treiber automatisch nachladen lassen, noch ein Neustart fertig. So weit, so nervig.

Was jetzt dazu kommt, ist, dass mir das Motherboard irgendwie nur sporadisch eine Netzwerkverbindung zugesteht. Mit meinem Kabel, das jetzt wieder am alten Desktop hängt, von dem ich gerade schreibe, ging es irgendwie erst, dann gar nicht mehr. Anderes Kabel probiert, geht, aber nur direkt nach dem Booten, entferne ich das Kabel zwischendurch ist Feierabend mit Netzwerk. Werde wohl noch eine Install von Windows durchlaufen lassen und dann einmal sauber alle Treiber von der Asus CD installieren, hatte mir jetzt nämlich einfach alle mir relevant erscheinen Treiber und Softwarepakete von Asus Seite selbst geladen.

Na endlich den Fehler gefunden, warum die CPU im Turbo "kleben" bleibt. Einfach im Bild das Makierte deaktivieren. Was bedeuten eigentlich die markierten Option?

Zusätzlich sieht man im ersten Bild meine gefundenen Einstellungen damit alles zufriedenstellend läuft und die CPU nicht über ihre Specs OC betreibt. Nicht im Bild ist die Einstellung Optionspunkt Memory Frequenz. Dort habe ich den Wert auf DDR3-1600 gestellt.

Multicore Enhancement legt fest ob mehrere Kerne im Turbo hochtakten dürfen oder nicht, sollte also aktiviert sein, wenn du mehr als nur einen Kern im Turbomodus haben willst. Wenn du schon manuell einsetzt kannst du auch den maximalen Multi setzen den du zulassen willst, also hier statt "auto" 40 zB, das kannst du jedem Kern einzeln zuweisen.
PLL Overvolting kannst du von auto auf deaktiviert setzen, kommt erst zur Geltung wenn du über 4,5GHz takten willst.
Load Line Calibration soltte auch nicht auf auto bleiben, denn auch dies ist eine Übertaktungsfunktion, welche unter auto zu aggressiv reagiert und auch erst bei höherem Takt benötigt wird, hier also deaktivieren oder eine niedrige Stufe wählen.

Da das Multicore Enhancement im Auto alle 4 Kerne voll mit 3800Mhz auslastet und selbst im Idle nicht runtertaktet (scheint wohl ein BIOS-Bug zu sein), werde ich das ganze wohl über den manuellen Multi laufen lassen und mal testweise den Wert 41 (=4100Mhz) als maximal Takt auf alle 4 Kerne laufen lassen. Mit dem Thermalright HR02 Macho dürfte das kein Problem sein :fresse: Werde trotzdem mal Prime95 mal eine Zeit laufen lassen um der CPU einzuheizen.

Die anderen zwei Einstellungen werde ich heute nachmittag zuhause testen.

Was andere ist jetzt komisch. Habe heute den PC nochmal vom Strom getrennt um die Kabel sauber verlegen zu können. Nach dem erneueten Anschließen und starten waren die BIOS-Einstellungen wieder auf Default gestellt. Auch taktet die CPU nicht mehr runter und läuft immer FULL-Speed. Gestern ging dies noch :motz:

Edit: Die Option nennt sich Ai Overclock Tuner. Mußt aber aufpassen das er den Multi nicht auf 41 als maximaler Wert anhebt, wie das BIOS es bei mir machte. Die zweite Möglichkeit ist die option Memory Frequenz. Dort einfach auf DDR3-1600 stellen.

Edit 2: Selbst mit der neuen BIOS-Version 1009 taktet er im IDLE (auch) nicht mehr runter. Eist und so weiter ist aktiv. Aber er läuft immer FULL-Speed. Weiß jemand wie man das wieder umgestellt bekommt?

Hab selber das P8Z77-V Pro, und generell scheint es das bei diesen Boards massive Qualitätsunterschiede zur Geltung kommen was ich von Asus eigentlich nicht gewöhnt bin. Mein erstes geliefertes Board war defekt, die CPU hat Fehler im Stock ausgespuckt, und bei meinem neuen ist die obere Ecke bei den USB Ports & PS2 Port "gewölbt", das es nicht exakt auf das Backpanel passt. Ich hab Glück das ich die USB Ports trotzdem belegen kann wenn ich etwas schief ankomme. Man sieht das auch deutlich wenn man das Mainboard gerade hält. Da ich aber keine Lust hatte das Ding zum 6 mal auszuschrauben habe ich es behalten.

Aber schon komisch, auch jetzt wo ich das Win 7 Problem lese.

Danke für den Tipp. Habe es mal gleich umgesetzt und es funktioniert nun auch mit aktiviertem Multicore Enhancement :wink:

Jetzt fehlt mir noch Tool um zu prüfen ob er wirklich auf alle Cores den Turbo anlegt. CPU-Z ist da leider ungeeignet, da man immer nur ein Core angezeigt bekommt.

Da gibt's ein Tool direkt von Intel names "Turbo Boost Technology Monitor".
 
So, auf dem Gigabyte-Board lässt sich Windows 7 x64 ebenfalls nicht von USB-Stick aus installieren. Mittlerweile bin ich auch etwas schlauer:

Problematisch ist, wenn:
- der USB-Stick ein Windows 7 x64 enthält aber der Stick unter Windows 7 x86 erstellt wurde
- generell Windows 7 x64 von USB-Stick auf einem UEFI-Board installiert wird

Sowohl beim Asus als auch jetzt beim Gigabyte bietet mir das Board keine UEFI-Boot-Option für den USB-Stick an. Bei einem anderen USB-Stick (leider nur 2GB groß und daher unbrauchbar) wurde mir die UEFI-Option dagegen angezeigt. Is doch echt alles scheiße mit den Rechner heute... :d
Von einer DVD klappte die Installation einwandfrei, ich hab mir extra ein externes DVD-Laufwerk besorgt...

Ich hab einfach mein Win7 x64 SP1 MSDNAA Image auf ne DVD gebrannt, den Rechner neu gebootet, im Bootmanager das UEFI DVD-Laufwerk ausgewählt und ab ging die Installation :)
Oh man...wenn mir nochmal so ein Geficke mit Windows passiert, dann bleib ich einfach gleich bei Ubuntu...das lässt sich von jedem Medium ohne irgendwelches Rumgeeier installieren.

hier muß man noch eine zusätzliche datei aus dem image auf den stick kopieren dann klappt auch die uefi installation. einfach hier im forum suchen, ich hatte nämlich auch das problem.

hier im Thread wurde ja schon geschrieben, dass der CPU Lüfter ein 4-PIN PWM sein muss.
Würde auch ein 3-Pin Lüfter mit einem Adapter 3-PIn auf 4-PIN funktionieren?
 
Der 4te PIN ist nur das PWM Signal, also Drehgeschwindigkeit steuern. Das muss der Lüfter unterstützen - ob da ein Adapter was bringt? Glaube nicht.
Bei 3PIN Lüftern wird über das absenken der Spannung gesteuert.

Hab den PC grad auf dem Tisch, das Plastikdings um die Pins herum ist für 3 PIN geschnitten, also passen auch die 3-PIN Stecker drauf, ein PIN bleibt halt offen. Ob das Board per BIOS 3-PIN regeln kann, weiß ich nicht. Habe eine Wakü und keinen Lüfter :)

Kann 100%ig berichten, dass beim cpu_fan nur pwm 4pin gehen. Wollte die Lüfter meines Radis damit steuern (noiseblocker pl1)... Hab die jetzt an nem cha_fan, da gehts!
 
von Nanoxia gabs (gibts?) PWM-Adapter von 3pin auf 4pin, war sogar ein Poti drin zum manuellen steuern.
 
So, gestern BF3 mit meinem Schwager auf dem (leeren) BF-X Server mit der Karte Metro getestet. Kann nur sagen läuft echt "cremig" und das selbst mit der GTX460 auf Details AUTO. Werde jetzt noch ein bissle an der Grafik schrauben :coolblue:

Beim P8Z77-V gibt es den CPU_FAN und den CPU_OPT. Für was ist den der letztere? OPT=Optional?
