Thanx for the reply !@Teslahun what's your polling rate in hwinfo64? aquacomputer devices send sensor data with a 1000ms polling rate, so when you set 1s in hwinfo64 settings it should read lower numbers.
these devices don't cause latency since the only data they send is sensor data. this isn't a device communicating and interacting with the rest of your system, it runs independently, so it simply can't cause system latency and therefore fps drops. except maybe when sth with the USB bus is wrong.
means, the problem is on some other hardware / software. doesn't really help, yep, but it's not the hf or octo
since you're talking about fps dips: did you try running your games in which you experience fps drops without an overlay? or an overlay not containing data from hwinfo64 but e.g. afterburner? does it feel better then or are the hickups still there?
edit: more info. profiling time = the time you see there is just the time it needs to read the sensors. it's no latency indicator. but from where the stutters (I've interpreted your "dips" now more or less as stuttering) originate...? I don't know, sry
My polling rate is the default 2000ms . 1000 did not help, 5000 either.
I already disabled the RTSS GPU power report sensor and still see some stutters , when hwinfo +msi AB ios running , just like in this video :
