Es ist ja Bald so weit - dass Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6 - wird bei den Händlern ankommen.
Also wird es auch schon Zeit für die ersten Bilder, Daten und Fakten.

In ca. 3 Wochen wird das Board für einen Preis von ca. 220 Euro im Handel zu haben sein.

UPDATE: Das Board ist mittlerweile für einen Preis von rund 200 Euro bei Geizhals erhältlich

- Bei großen Karten wie GTX oder HD 29 muss der Speicher vorher eingebaut 
werden, danach ist nur noch der ausbau möglich
- Es ist kein Problem den Scythe Infinity bzw. Mugen zu verwenden.

- für alle die es interessiert. Ich habe mal die Soundkarte testhalber auf den ersten PCI Slot gesteckt und dabei rausgefunden, das dieser Steckplatz seinen IRQ nicht shared. Also daher der Tipp an alle: wenn ihr wichtige Karten habt, nutzt sie im erstn PCI Slot (also direkt unter dem zweiten PCIe x16 Steckplatz), unter Umständen könnte euch das Ärger ersparen, denn der untere PCI Slot shared den IRQ mit anderen Geräten. Ja ich habs schon, woher weißt ja wie dass mit dem verraten is ^^
Ne ich arbeite nich für Gigabyte.

Heut wird das Teil mal so richtig von vor bis hinten durchgetestet!
2x Quad CPU und ca. 5 GraKas werden über das Board wandern

könntest du bitte mal ein bild von der kompletten rückseite des boardes machen ?
will mal sehen wie das mit den ganzen Kühlern hinten ist und ob ich da nen backplate für meinen wasserkühler noch irgendwie reinbauen kann...

@Hzero Super Sache was du hier machst.

Ich freue mich schon sehr auf diesen Sammelthread.

So endlich "fertig", geschwitzt wie ein blöder.

Am Anfang sah alles nicht gut aus:

- Der QX6700 von mir war unabkömmlich
- Der Q6600 G0 kommt erst am Montag
- Mein Bekannter hat den Quad Xeon zu hause gelassen
- Zweite HD2900XT kommt erst am Montag

Deshalb war dann halt ein Pentium D 820 :stupid:

im Einsatz und eine HD2900XT zuerst musste lange Windows installiert werden danach die Treiber - dabei stürzte das ganze auch gleich bei sound und Co. ab.
Nachdem die X38 Chipsatztreiber endlich drauf waren, kam noch GraKa und co.

Endlich konnte gebencht werden, oder auch nich?!

3DMark03,05,06 und Aquamark konnten nicht genutzt werden.
Denn anfangs Initialisieren die Programme das System und leider Gottes kommen diese absolut nicht mit dem X38 klar.
Benchmark Programmen hängen sich bereits vor dem Start auf.

Lediglich 3DMark01 wäre gelaufen, dazu hatte ich aber weder Lust noch hat es mich interessiert... wie das Sys 2001 gepunktet hätte.

Hmm, das klingt echt alles ärgerlich. Hoffe, dass du noch irgendwas erreichen kannst und das Intel oder wer auch immer da mal schnell nach bessert...

Das Rätsels bescheuerte Lösung wurde gefunden!!!

Es liegt nämlich NICHT am X38 Chipsatz!
Da haben nämlich AMD / ATI gepfuscht aufs aller übelste... viele HD2XXX kommen nicht damit klar, wenn 3DMark 03,05,06 gestartet wird - die Progs können einen Teil von der Karte nicht auslesen.

Lösung:

Rechtsklick auf Verknüpfung - hinter den Dateinamen -nosysteminfo eingeben und schon kann gebencht werden.
Dieses nette kleine Problemechen hat mich ca. 6 Stunden meines Sinnvollen lebens gekostet - DANKE AMD

Frage: Wollt ihr wissen wie die Punkte fallen mit einem Uralt Pentium D 820 @4 GHz?
Oder soll ich erst ab Montag, mit dem hoffentlich erhaltenen Quad testen?

Naja, ich finde das mit so einem alten P4 ein wenig überflüssig. Das kann man dann ja später nur bedingt vergleichen weil den sonst keiner hat!?

Also wenn dann investier nicht Deine ganze Zeit / Kraft in das Board mit dieser CPU und spar Dir das für Montag auf.

Vielleicht kannst ja auch mal prüfen, ob das Board problemlos mit der X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro. funktioniert.

Auf den Ärger wie mit den P35 DQ6 kann ich gut verzichten.....

kann leider nur testen ob ne Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE und die Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer funktionieren.
Das kann ich dir sagen, deine Karte hab ich leider nich zur Verfügung.
