This time my case to mod is a classic. Powermac G5. One of the most popular and ,one of the most modded beauttiful case ever made. As robustness , ı can say it is a PANZER.

Some prefer to use such

ctQabI.jpg

Powermac G5 is one oft most modded case. but most of them, changed outlook of the case

My goals for this Project were to preserve the look of the case at outside ;and fit my PC s hardware including a full ATX MB. And watercooling.

SLCb7n.jpg

NiWcVa.jpg

I will to mod at two stages

First the mod on the case and and convert it for an ATX (BTX) MB …

Thenn as second mod this case for Watercooling… with acrylic tubing and alphacool capecora passive rads 642+142= 742

FPnC6k.jpg

To use an ATX mainboard at this case, the back panel must be changed.

İf we wannt to adapt the case to new motherboard. We must change

QPYq0j.jpg

At the back panel, the fans must be moved off center, to make a new I/O. and a larger room
for 7 slots

There are a lot of mods, one of them is ,

to make a half mask as Ben Katz did.

Link: BuildIts: How to Fit Your PC in a Power Mac G5 Case

tiyOKt.jpg

and mount them to thecase

8nxeGo.jpg

Or we can use a MB tray with backpanel as gibsonc did.

Link : Powermac G5 Case mod - Mods and Overclocking - InsanelyMac Forum

TJrRuw.jpg

And cut the case, to make a space

Oz3RAq.jpg

And mount it

kcxDsc.jpg

But I wannt to make a new back panel complett. With new fan holes , I/O and slots.
I wannt to use the original fangrill as well.

vSYMgo.jpg

Drawn at corel... but ı musst make nearly 3000 circles with 3mm Radius..

3yu53I.jpg

And sent to water jet for cutting….

UPDATE 30.12.2014

I want to built a watercooling system, for my modified MAC G5 ATX

jLU7ku.jpg

And cool CPU+MB+Videocard. And use a PASSİVE RADIATOR.(no more fans to cool)
One loop but in two parts.as
3XHF142 rad >CPU> MB> 4X HF 142 rad>EVGA 680 Classified> REZ. >POMP

I want to see the case like this

oVGRiN.jpg

Using a passive radiator , alphacool cape cora 7x142 mounted at rear sidewindow.

FPnC6k.jpg

tXE3rq.jpg

using 7 piece bended 16 mm OD clear acrylic pipes, to see color of fluid.
12mm acrylic pipe looks out very skinny to me…

MDVQ6e.jpg

I could use 16mm OD Copper pipes too… like this…in my 800D case..

cVS2j7.jpg

http://www.hardwareluxx.de/communit...-watercooled-copper-acrylic-pipe-1028332.html

but ı want to edd a little color to the case…

I planned to use EK-CSQ ADAPTER 90 BLACK

1P06t0.jpg

EK-HDC Fittings 16mm G1/4-black(is the best rigid fitting for 16mm acrylic)

and bıtspower case through hole fittings-black

UPDATE 31.12.2014

This radiators normally operate parallel .Like this

TKwIOR.jpg

But ı want to use it as serial .Like this

VKPaKI.jpg

Therfore ı must mod T-plug connectors of cape cora.. on the bottom.and block one side to to prevent fluid flow.

97eEuX.jpg

5zfT1x.jpg

And make special fittings (adapters) for connection on the top between cape cora and EK-CSQ ADAPTER 90

yG6QpN.jpg

I will change EK-CSQ ADAPTER 90 Black ,with Monsoon Light Port 90 Rotary Angle Adapter ¾ Black

hMaawl.jpg

and ı will illuminate the pipes from inline with Monsoon LED Stop Fitting Black(without monsoon comp. Fitting)

8zzbym.jpg

to get the illuminated efect with 16mm thick acrylic pipes like this

1eOIvO.jpg

At last ı would like to see my MAC G5 case like this…with fluid color in bended acrylic pipes

WOTXEU.jpg

But if you use the radiatior serial, you ll get just one in-/outlet on top of cour case, right?

Not if he is just extending the single tubes right into the case and managing the serial through flow inside of it.
I guess that this is the best way to do it if the desired look shall be achieved.

But if you use the radiatior serial, you ll get just one in-/outlet on top of cour case, right?

No ı have 2 inlet and 2 outlets. at the radiator. Becouse ı want to use 3x142 for MB and 4x142 for Videocard.

There are a lot of cominations. I can use one of these, depending on the input and output of waterblocks…for example…

So Labello is (more or less) right if I understand you correctly.
In the picture you've drawn there are seven tubes connecting the inside of the case to the upper ends of the radiator.
To me it looks like as if you wanted to connect each sub piece of the radiator to the case with an acrylic tube and arrange the flow inside the case by connecting these tubes in the way you illustrated above.
Is this how you are planning to do it?

Correct...

No..

I dont use acrylic tubes at the sub. I want to use Cape Cora s T Plug conecctors. as 2 in 1 group.

UPDATE 03.01.2015

Finally arrived radiators. We can continue to work.

I mounted every cooling moduls(Cape Cora 142) with self-tapping screws on two metal bars 20X5X400mm.

update 04.01.2015

And case with mounted cape cora 742

Perfekt!!!!!!

the radiator completly ruins the visual of the case. should have gone for mora externaly or something similiar.

Bischen Geduld Freund...Wir werden sehen ,wie es aussieht...danke.

I agree, the height and the mounts don't fit the quality of the case. Mounted in the center with better looking mountings would make a huge difference.

Ill follow your project.

Its kinda contradictory to

though.

We will see how it ends up. I like the tubing idea quite much, just not the fact and the way/position the radiator is mounted.

however, no offense! great work so far.

best regards

I am also curious for the results ...
thanks Vonali.

UPDATE 09.01.2015

To mount Acrylic-tube compresssion fittings at the top of the rads , ı will to use special fittings , instead of T-plug connectors of cape cora..

Nice Work, really like ur custom fittings. What Hardware will you be using with the Cape Cora?

Thanks moritzl...

I can never forget, once in this forum a member said for my mod - warum gibt man sich für ein Fake-Sys so viel Mühe? –

http://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/f143/transformer-case-996669.html

honestly I have to say , ı am not intersted with hardware, I am intersted with case mod and watercooling . but ı must use hardware in the case at last…

I use ASUS RAMPEGE EXTREM Mainboards , expecially Black series..

My test hardware is

MB Asus Rampage III Extrem Black +CPU İntel 960+RAM Corsair dominator6X2=12 + EVGA Evga 680 Classified hydrocopper

but ıcan use

ASUS R4 Black Edition + Cpu Core i7 4820K 2011 3.7GHz 10MB +2X ZOTAC GTX780 AMP! GDDR5 3GB 384BIT

or my new hardware (but ıwant to use it on a new Corsair 900D mod)

rampege 5 Extrem + Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3GHz LGA 2011-v3 + EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Classified ACX 2.0 Watercooled + Dominator® Platinum Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15

and a süper case is waiting for mode

Supermicro | Products | SuperWorkstation | 4U | 7047GR-TPRF

Super Server 7047 GR-TPRF CASE + 2X TITAN BLACK +1X TITAN Z Video card + Watercooling for Video cards

I actually was only interested in the hardware because the cape cora doesn't have that much of cooling performance. Because of its passive cooling design. But I would be interested in the temps you get when your mod is done ;)
