Mac G5 Mod. arg-ist

UPDATE 11.01.2015

I want to use Cape Cora as serial .Like this
VKPaKI.jpg

Therfore ı must mod T-plug connectors of cape cora.. on the bottom.and block one side to to prevent fluid flow.
5zfT1x.jpg

xNaxnA.jpg

I made special stop fittings from delrin

and prevented flow of the fluid.

this is the loop of Watercooling, with serial working Cape Cora..

Wenn Du diese Anzeige nicht sehen willst, registriere Dich und/oder logge Dich ein.
So the interconnection of the single Cape Cora modules will be performed in the exactly same manner I tried to depict earlier.

I actually was only interested in the hardware because the cape cora doesn't have that much of cooling performance. Because of its passive cooling design. But I would be interested in the temps you get when your mod is done ;)

I am very curious about those radiators performance too..
but this is not a performance case...
it is a case for daily use.

I have made enough performance cases and new cases on the way…

Why did you use so many different brands of fittings. they all look different...

Becouse;
I am a Bitspower fanaticer and use always Bitspower fittings.

But;
I am using acrylic tubing at the ouside of the case not in the case. They must be rigid.
And I dont find the 16mm OD Bitspower Acrylic fittings rigid. They are very slim .

L7TgXX.jpg

Therefore ı used for the first time EK fittings.

And MONSOON Light Port 90 Rotary angle fittings are the only solution to illuminate with narrow focus 8 degree superbright led plugs that blast into the loop.

1eOIvO.jpg

ok the 16mm OD fittings from bitspower dont look that rigid (i quess they would still work as suposed)
but the ek fittings looks totaly missmatched, i would say the better way to go would be 1/2" or 12mm or 13mm OD tubeing
from the images these fittings should blend in nicely with the bitspower passthroughs

and for the lightports, you can still use the good old bitspower q-rotary
just a stopfitting on top and mayby the monsoon led-plug on one side
but even then the monsoon knurling wont mathe the knurling on the bitspowerparts (like the ek fittings on the bitspower passthroughs atm)
so i would use a normal led-plug and paint the outside in semigloss black and use a normal 5mm 12000mcd with it to get the effect ;)

I agree about the wrong choice of EK fittings too…

Bitspower Q rotary was one of my thought . but ı choused monsoon rotaries so that ı can use them at onother mod . 7 Bitspower q rotary is wery diffucult to use..

I am 67 years old , and I know , learning does not end any time…
Thanks Dude.

hmm seems like the tubes #3;4 and 5 dont line up with the rest aka the passthroughts and the lightports that are perfectly in line
and now with the tubes in place your fillport looks so missplaced for me, i think i would have placed him under one of the "handles"

Looks great.
I am thrilled to see it when it's done.

Hi

I must choose liquid color.
I plan to use as color CERULEAN BLUE .

but ı cannt find CERULEAN BLUE FLUID Cann any body help me .

or which color would you use with MAC G5 Case..Thanks

I think some green like this one would look really great with the silver and the black.

UPDATE 06.02.2015

I can not decide whether use of pastel or transparent fluids.
I think this is pastel fluid.

1eOIvO.jpg

I wantt to achieve this in blueish green
GuVUZd.jpg

With transparent fluids and dyes can ı mix and achieve Ceruluian blue
T91YaC.jpg

but it not very easy to achieve cerulian with pastel fluids and dyes…
I need to be patient…

During the color experiments , ı mounted pump-rez combination an XSPC D5 Photon Reservoir/Pump combo
