If in BIOS you set “Launch Storage OpROM Policy” to “UEFI only”, then it will support NVME, and then you should also be able to boot from it.
BIOS > Boot > CSM (Compatibility Support Module) > Launch Storage OpROM Policy > UEFI only
Please install the OS in UEFI mode:
Insert the Windows installation DVD or USB stick (via USB2.0).
Press F11 during bootup to open the boot menu.
The DVD drive or USB stick should be listed twice. Once as AHCI/USB, and once as UEFI. Please select the UEFI option.
Please note that Windows 7 and Windows 8 do not have a native NVME driver. We recommend using Windows 8.1 instead.
