[Sammelthread] Samsung 8Gbit DDR4 C-Die K4A8G085WC - OC-Ergebnisse im Startbeitrag! [updated]

+10 days now without any crash (before almost everyday, or every 2 days). Wasn't sure if it was fully on auto, so cleared da cmos. Also disabled fastboot startup (inside windows) since i forgot to do it after format. Running 3466mhz whole this time. Let's see how long it will stay like this, seems like it did a trick (inb4 it will all start again).
Just wanna add, that after pc crashes, event viewer shows Kernel-Power (41) errors. There been 3 whea errors in 18.03, cache hierarchy and bus/interconnect error. No errors since then.
So... yes. It did crash after those 10 days. And it did crash now! After changing cpu to 3700x, mobo to crosshair vii x470 and ram (its from my friend, that run this and was working fine). And funniest part is, it crashed right after 3 mins from boot :(. Literally changed all my pc components. Only things that left, is drives and my pc case. At worst, house electricity. Honestly, wanna end myself at this point.

Good afternoon, I apologize for writing in English but I don't know German, in spite of my father having worked in a German enterprise for 35 years. I have a team group memory kit and it's confirmed to be c-die. I recently bought a ryzen 5 5600 cpu, and I've been testing to see how far I can get. In the BIOS I have forced the soc voltage to 1.112 and the memory to 1.35v. I think I'm at the limit since the soc voltage already exceeds 1.1. I would appreciate some points of view and some improvement suggestions. Thank you very much.

Hello, I have a kit of 3600mhz team group delta force and I managed to take them to 4200mhz with 1.2v of soc voltage (If I lower it, the computer simply restarts without bsod when stressing the gpu), they can go to 4400mhz but they need more voltage de soc which I think is dangerous to set it above 1.2v. Do you recommend leaving my configuration like this?

For the 5600G 1.2v Soc is totally okay.
You can try to reduce tFAW (16, 20 or 24)or have you already tried that?

I already tried it but it does not pass the memtest. I also tried to go up to 4400mhz but I need to go up 1.3 of soc voltage, 4333mhz can work perfectly with 1.25v soc voltage.

There are some semi-official recommendations about SOC voltage in the overclocking guides and lots of very subjective opinions all over the web. I killed some of my Raven Ridge APUs with memory OC, but my 5700G is still working and that one saw 1.35V SOC for some time. In the end you have to decide for yourself, what will be your personal limit. It also is recommended to always consider, if the potential performance gains outweigh the required voltages increase(s).

In any case if those are indeed S8C (and not S8D), it is an awesome result.

Thank you very much for your recommendations, honestly I have not removed the heatsink to verify that it is really samsung c die but it could be confirmed by the tRFC and the operation at low voltages. During this week I was testing how much more I could lower the values of my memories, the complete overclocking guide that I found in a github and the information in this forum helped me a lot.

Hello everyone! Based on feedback from reddit, I was hoping one of the C-die pros could help me with improving my C-Die overclock :d

‎CMH32GX4M4D3600C18 - 4x8GB confirmed C-die.

Current Overclock:
13700K +3/+2 @ 1.31v
1.370v - VDIMM
1.20v - VCCSA
1.30v - VDDQ
All other Auto

Settings:
3866MHz / 2T / Gear 1

+ TRC 64

EDIT: This is TM5 extreme1@anta777 4 pass + y-Cruncher stable.

Was hoping to either tighten up at this speed, or try for something >=4000.

Any help appreciated!

@politbureau Since you are already at 1.37V with CL18, going up in frequency would probably require CL19 and dialing back the voltage a bit. With active cooling you should also be able to raise/max tREFI for a good performance bump. At 3866 you might also be able to tighten some timings like for example tWR, tRTP, tFAW, tCWL (18), tRDRD_sg (7) and tWRWR_sg (7), but that is something you have to test individually.

Great advice - thanks! I will start there and see how it goes.

I was able to boot and run

Is 1T possible / beneficial at all with these sticks / speed?

The memory can probably do a CR of 1T no problem. The real question is, if your board can handle that. There are some settings that can influence the command rate, but I am not familiar with your motherboard and the required adjustments. ASUS motherboards for example have some training options that can help with 1T at higher frequencies, like enabling Trace Centering.

I don't think anyone can get this far with such low binned kit. 😝 BTW, the voltage setting is 1.332V

Hello, new here, also kinda new to RAM OC and C-die is really weird to me, I know stuff about RAM OC as I did in the past but this die is something else, some timings go so low i never thought this would be possible.
2 hours 1usmus TM5 & 3 hours anta777 absolut TM5 stable, i will let it run over night later but I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong because some timings went to the minimum bios allows me to set and it still looks stable, I may have lowered things i wasn't supposed to.
tCWL can go as low as 9 which is minimum bios allows but I was getting IMC errors after 1-2 hours and voltage doesn't help, setting it to 16 seems to help, maybe... need to run more tests, this setup is probably not 100% stable but it looks like it's good enough to not crash while gaming.

Patriot heat spreaders are reattached back with thermal pads now.
CAD setup timings were needed for GDM off but not sure they are optimal values.
CPU has +200MHz PBO and -30 CO all core, i think i won the lottery there, need better cooler as it only does 4.5GHz multicore full load, 4.65 in lower loads like gaming.

Hallo, i have a very odd issue with my 32GB DR OEM C-die. MSI B450 Gaming Plus and Ryzen 5 2600.

TWR lower than 24 and i'm having random audio crackling , AMD driver restarts and sometimes black screen after a cold boot, * mostly happens when i open hardware accelerated things like Steam or Browser otherwise it's perfectly stable in both Absolut present and OCCT/PRIME95.
i've tested TWR 10 , 12 , 16 , 20 all have cold boot issue and rr my video driver.

TWR 24 i still get only audio crackling but very rare while other two problems? simply gone.

Another issue i cannot make it stable on my own past 3200 , it does post in windows 3533 and just in bios 3600 all auto 1t GDM off so can't be the IMC, right? must be related with procOdt / RTT and CADs str because if i left those on auto 53.3 5/Disabled/Disabled 24/24/24/24 doesn't post 3333 auto and 3200 is unstable.

i left TRFC auto , Everything else it's bottomed down, super tight only maybe only TRDWR could be lowered. Vsoc is 1.125v but for some reason in zentimings jumps up and down 1,063 - 1.125v.

if anyone have any suggestions, do your magic because i simply give up on my own.

Hello

I am using Consair VENGEANCE® RGB PRO 32GB (4 x 8GB) CL16 CWM16GX4M2C3200C16 ram, as a result of my research, I learned that it is v.32, that is, C-die, so I started the OC process.
I have msi b660m-p motherboard and 12700f processor

XMP 3200 cl16 Cachemem.png

I can run it at CL 18 22 22 42 at 3466 mhz at 1.33 ram voltage because it is c-die and the result I got is in the gear 1 3467mhz.png

The rams did not go above 42 degrees, for now there is not much difference in the processor temperature, there is a tower cooler 1800rpm

What can I do for a better performance
Thank you very much as a result of what I read here
