@Jthellfire911 If you see 22, 24, 26 in the list when you run the Find devices then yes as @oese said you need to add these manually.

Yes these three are needed.

Do you still have screen shots of your settings for those 3?
 
The main things to play around are these two for GPU MP2857 (22); Iout Gain and VID offset.
In the beginning maybe just paly around with Iout Gain.
You can go down lower than 400 to something like 100 or even less but your GPU will burn power like hell. :rofl:
If you dare you can do it and get very high score. I went to below 10 last time. :LOL:
You will need nice cooling as well as strong power supply ask @oese about his 850W power supply. :asthanos:

For very high frequencies like going above 3500MHz, most likely then you will need to change the VID Offset as well.

I'm running a custom chiller setup, I can usually keep my water temps before a run, at anywhere from 6c-15c depending on where I have my controllers set at.
I've also got a 1300w evga psu.

The one thing I don't have, is a different bios. I'm still on the red devil bios. From what I'm reading, you can't change the bios with the redbios editor?

So with my card not having any hardware mods besides the evc2, what settings would you recommend for a 37k score? Evc2, and adrenaline?

Water condensation will kill the components so I don't go at the moment lower than 14°C on Chiller.
I may try it but for that I am thinking to insolate the component by using something like Armaflex but that's hell of work as you need to open everything up and insert Armaflex everywhere or use something like Knetradiergummi.

Hard to tell you an exact setting for your card.
Every card behaves differently so it's not easy to use somebody else settings. :(
You need to find the best spot for your GPU with under volt and frequency sliders.

I am trying myself to go higher than my current best score but my GPU is not the best and doesn't like it going above 3500MHz.
This is the last result I got today.

The CPU is now running much better but I couldn't run my old GPU setting that brought me highest score last time.
My GPU has it's own mind. :stupid:
I was trying to run the old settings and I crashed my Radeon Driver and now it's not working even after multiple DDUs and reinstallation of the driver. :rofl:

I made a backup of Win 10 after I installed it yesterday so that saves me. I just need to bring back the windows from backup. :fresse2:

I'm seeing 100+c hot spot temps, but my max gpu temps are 35c. The gpu gcd hotspot is the main culprit for high temps. I'm also on liquid metal for the gpu

Also, why is it that my cpu score gas dropped dramatically vs without the evc2?



This so far is the best I could muster tonight. I've gotta figure out why my hotspot temps are so high, and do some waterproofing of the gpu waterblock.
I'm pretty happy with the outcome so far though! Thank you all for the help!

@Jthellfire911 If your hotspot jumps above 100°C then you need to check your block. Seems it's not having proper contact with the GPU.
My hotspot doesn't go above 60°C while benching at 14°C water temperature. 😉
 
Für GPU neu high score war gestern keiner guter Tag.
Immer hin mit neu CPU score bin ich auf Platz zwei bei overall geklettert. :d

Es ist halt neu setup mit MAXIMUS Z790 APEX statt Maximus Hero. Der Hero ist weg und für ähliche Preis dafür Apex von einer guter Freund hier bei Luxx geholt. :cool:

Muss wieder dran und wieder neu Funktional settings für 7900XTX finden um besser als vorher zu werden. :LOL:

Erst veleicht kommt umbua auf Armaflex für beide CPU und GPU so das Chiller noch auf tiefere Temperatur eingestellt werden kann.:haha:
Klar kann man nicht damit rekorde feiern weil es ist nicht DICE aber veleicht ein paar Pünktchen mehr.:lol:

We will see. I also bought a cheap diy gpu waterblock on Amazon to try a custom backplate watercooling setup.

Of couse as you are then throwing a lot of power at your GPU then issues with contact of heatsink become more visible as it can't pull away the heat fast enough. :d

For my 13900ks you can always get it to hit 100°C on water cooling depending on the settings . That thing is not easy to cool.:fresse:

It took 3 attempts to align the EK WB Velocity 2 block to get better contact and I had Torque key to fasten it to recommend 0.6Nm and still it was not easy because EK block has screws on the back side of the mainboard and you need to turn mainboard upside down to tighten them and the block is too heavy and it misaligns when you have the board up side down.:fire:
I would get rid of that EK block on eBay and replace it with Heatkiller Pro IV which has traditional mounting with top side screws.

When I had the wrong thermal pads on the waterblock to pcb side, my hot spot temps were about 15-20c below the main gpu temps. I didn't have the new glid pads yet when I found that issue. So I put the alphacool pads on that came with the block.
My 1mm glid pads showed up yesterday, so I'm going to try those, and hope they have just enough squish to get more contact with the gpu die to the waterblock. I also already did the washer mod to get more mounting pressure. I think if the mounting pressure screw holes were closer to the gpu socket, you could get better mounting pressure. But who knows.



I do have another question, it's it only possible to change the bios on the 7900xtx with the hardware tool? "I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head"
I know with the 6900xtxh red devil ultimate, I was able to use Linux to push through the amd 6900xt lc bios on the red devil.

I'm trying to do research and verify things before I start messing with the bios on my 7900xtx.
 
You can use CH341A programer or even EVC.
I never tried with EVC so here you need to ask others here.

On 7900XTX, I don't know if better bios than 7900XTX Aqua exists and I own Aqua.
 
Gibt es hier oder sonst irgenwo mal eine Sammelliste von STABILEN UV / OC Werten für XTX 7900?
Daran bin ich sehr interessiert. Man sieht immer diese Reviews von diviersen Seiten, wo dann die Karten auf 1.0V oder sogar 0.9x Volt wie vom Vorposter stabil laufen.

Ich hatte jetzt 3x 7900er Karten hier:

  1. Sapphire 7900 XTX Nitro
  2. XFX 7900 XTX Merc Black
  3. ASUS 7900 XTX TUF OC
Alle drei Karten waren vom max. stabilen UV ähnlich. Unter 1.07V war ggf. nur KURZ bench-Stable aber nicht langzeitstbil!
Vom GPU takt war damit in Timespy 2950 eher das Limit der Gefühle. 3000 MHz stabil in weiter Ferne. Und das selbst bei der Nitro / Merc mit +15% PT und Lüfterkurve so angepasst das die lüfter auf Vollgas drehen.

Ich beziehe mich einmal auf dieses Review:

Mein System selbst ist eigentlich nicht schlecht. Netzteil Corsair Titanium AX-1000 jedoch war auch ein AX-850 hier zum gegentesten, das NT hatte keinen Einfluss.

Haben die Hardware Seiten hier vorselektierte Golden Samples erhalten?
Oder hatte ich bei meinen drei Karten einfach einmal Pech in der Silicon-Lottery?!
Desshalb interessiert mich einmal eine reale Liste von Usern.

Ich habe keine Ahnung was ich tue, aber angeblich eine wahrscheinlich sehr gute Karte erwischt.
 
Ich wollte meine Aqua heute Wasser discht umbauen so das ich mit Chiller tiefer als 14°C fahren kann um von Kondenswasser zu schutzen. :haha:

Aber ich probiere heute die neu bios und Umbau verschiebe ich auf morgen.:d

Warum Wunder BIOS?
Vor allem wäre interessant, was ASRock da geändert hat.
Wunder weil es sollte boost clock von 2.680 auf 2.935MHz erhöhen.
Wahrscheinlich mit mehr Power.

Also can that wonder bios from the aqua be flashed onto my 7900xtx red devil?
 
I use Asprogrammer software for programming the bios.
You will find YouTube videos explaining how to use that.

It probably won't work with the Asrock Windows Flasher. You probably have to flash the normal Asrock Aqua Bios to the Powercolor with the Biosprogrammer first. It works, I did it too. On Overclock.net someone uploaded the new biosfiles for the pogrammer.

So I was thinking of using the silent bios chip to do the programming, since you have a red devil as well, can you tell me or show me where that chip is?
Also where is the best place to get the bios for the asrock aqua ?

Ja wie erwartet bei neu bios alle limits sind erhöht.

Jetzt muss ich alles testen zu sehen wie die karte reagiert mit neu bios.
Die schreiben da das man sollte vorher neu Treiber 23.5.1 installiert haben aber vor man bios updaten kann muss man AMDCleanupUtility laufen lassen weil wenn Treiber installiert ist dann bios update utility sagt das man sollte erst Treiber entfernen. :haha: :stupid:
