hier mal zwei absolut treffende stimmen aus off. bc2 forum:
zwar etwas länger, aber recht haben sie.

Ok, this is the next installment of applying semi realistic properties to the game ( for the Hard Core mode ).
Yesterday I posted recoil values for the varius weapon types and how the stance should affect them ( you will find that on page 9 of this thread )
Damage values. I will take each calibre/ammo tupe used in the general weapons and try to apply some form of damage each type will do
( not taking into accound the real world variences that the different barrel lengths, material tollerences, or distance etc make in the the real world )
Ok, here we go. Lets presume the max damage value any round can do is 100 when it exits the barrel :-
9x39 ( sub sonic VSS ) :- 50
5.56 x 45 RUS :- 60
5.56 x 54 NATO :- 65
5.8x42 ( type 88 sniper & LMG ):- 65
.45 ACP ( Thompson fires the same round as the colt 1911 ) :- 60
7.62 x 39 RUS :- 79
7.62 x 51 NATO ( M60, G3, M14 ) :- 85
7.62 x 54 ( PKM, SV98, SVU Short) RUS :- 89
.30-06 ( M1, though some versions use 7.62 NATO ) :- 80
.338 ( GOL sniper Magnum ) :- 100
.50 BMG :- 100
Now, a headshot from any of these is fatal, full stop. A kevlar helmet is capable of reducing the impact
of the smaller 5.56 round to make them survivable, once, and if your lucky and the shot is not dead centre causing the rouind to glance off the curved surface.
The 7.62 rounds are still likely to ruin your day if it hits your helmet due to the blunt force trauma.
Surviving a 7.62 to the head is a rare thing.
The BMG is going to put you out of action in 99.9% of cases no matter where it hits you in a single shot.
In other words, headshots are generally likely to be one shot kills.
Center Mass ( Body shots ), again the 5.56 round has proven to be marginal in dealing with the enemy effectively, and can take 2 or 3 rounds to neutralise your foe.
The 7.62 round is much more efficient at dealing with the baddies. The single centre mass shot ( un armoured foe ) is usually enough to retire them from the fight.
When you add a Silencer, you can reduce the damage value by 5-10%. As the VSS already uises subsonic ammo, it makes its actual damage relatively low.
Next installment, effective ranges.

Just logged in to say few things:
You just ruined the vehicle gameplay complletely, the lightspeed tracer dart makes short work of any chopper or tank in no time, you simply put can't dodge a tracer dart anymore and your tank is like xmas tree glowing red and rocket magnet, and there is nothing you can do about it but keep eating rockets.
Also sniper rifles are ment to be powerful, now you need 3 shots to body at long range because of damn auto heal saving the target....
Worst for M95, which is totally useless atm...
Why did you had to touch G3? It wasn't that good in worst place, now you just had to take the least it had away, didn't you?
Or the PP200, srs...
M40 grenade launcher doesn't kill if you shoot to wall 20cm away from the guy? Seriusly....
So nerfed M60 but made AN-94 pretty much most deadly gun in the game, way off balanced compared to rest of the assault rifles... *prat prat* is all you hear now...
Not to talk about choppers again... reduced damage, boosted AA and light speed tracer darts... Those things are waiting to be blown out of sky before you even get into air.
As it is, the game is purely infrantry focused... If I wanted IF only, I would play BF2. I want my game back. (we didn't even want the super dart, why did you have to do it?)
Long rant, but I jsut also watched how consoles have 10 times more agile and better choppers than PC version, and my blood boils.
BTW. I can guess you made the balance tweaks based on console version, and just moved them to PC without any thinking... The choppers are fast and agile in the consoles for example, so you improved AA... but you forgot console gameplay is way different than PC.
So please make balance tweaks to PC version based on the PC game.
