@Perma ich wollte mal ganz lieb fragen ob du auch ein modifiziertes Bios für das P170HM besitzt?
Hintergrund des Ganzen ist:
Mein Clevo P150HM ist bereits mit einer Radeon 7970M ausgerüstet, nun soll ein Core I7 2960XM folgen.
Backplate ist schon modifiziert, ALU Tape angebracht, die zusätzlichen Kupferkühler auch.
Als nächstes folgt dann der Bios Flash auf ein P170HM Bios und danach der Einbau der CPU.
Da die 180 Watt sicher nicht für eine Overclocked CPU und GPU reicht wollte ich mal fragen ob man nicht ganz simpel ein P170HM Netzteil nehmen kann.
Sollte demnächst (wer weiss wie BF4 mit der 7970M skaliert) ein neues Book kommen, da ich auch gerne eine Tastatur Beleuchtung hätte dann wirds aber auf Grund der Updatepolitik bei Clevo wohl eher ein Ivy Alien, als ein Haswell Clevo. Die aktuellen Aliens sehen mir zu doof aus und sind viel zu überteuert. Und da im R4 auch eine 780M spielt, kann ich auf die paar % zw. Ivy und Haswell verzichten.
Läuft die? Ist das vertrauenswürdig soweit? Bin bei dem Preis halt echt am überlegen mir jetzt das Upgrade doch mal noch zu gönnen... auch wenn mir an sich die 6970M auch gut reicht.
F1r3 kann dazu wohl mit Abstand am meisten sagen. Ich meinte, du brauchst ein modifiziertes BIOS, wo die Prüfungsroutine (wegen Enduro) fehlt. Dann gibts auch ein Bild.
Der Preis ist super - wirst aber vermutlich nirgends Garantie haben.
Wenn die Karte aus einem p1x0em stammt, kommst um das blind flashen nicht rum, die p370em Karte könnte so glaube ich spielen, da beim 370er auch enduro aus sein muss.
Blind Flash geht aber mit jaybee's autoexec aus SFVogts Link Recht gut.
Beachte auf der Suche folgende Regel: Clevo Karten laufen in Alienware Books, umgekehrt leider nicht.
Hm... ich bin echt am hadern... wie sinnvoll erachtet ihr das Upgrade denn? Werde das Notebook vermutlich noch mindestens nen Jahr benutzen, da ich noch nen Jahr am Bachelor hänge. (Ich bin gefühlt der einzige Mensch, dem 15" nicht zu schwer sind um das Ding täglich dabei zu haben rofl) Habe halt das Gefühl, günstiger komme ich an die 7970M nicht mehr ran. Wie viel bekommt man denn noch für die alte 6970M, oder sollte man die dann eher als Notfallersatz behalten?
Und wie sieht das inzwischen mit HDMI aus? Geht das oder "nur" DVI?
die Sinnhaftigkeit basiert auf Kompatibilität mit dem notebook und nicht zuletzt auf der fps rate der von dir favorisierten Spiele. entscheiden musst du selber. ich z.b. werde von 7970CF weder auf 780 Sli noch 8970 CF umsteigen. ersteres ist ein schlechtes PL Verhaeltnis und letzteres bietet zuwenig Mehrleistung, als dass ein Umstieg darauf gerechtfertigt ist. der performance sprung von 6970 zu 7970 war sehr gross und wenn die gpu funktioniert, mach es.
Der Performancesprung von 6970m zu 7970m ist gewaltig, ich habe ihn ja genau so durchgeführt - allein für BF3 wars das ganze Wert Ich würde daher schon zum Kauf der Karte tendieren, für deine alte 6970m wirste aber nicht mehr wie 150-175 Euro erwarten können. Als Ersatz wäre es daher eine Überlegung sie zu behalten. Andersrum, verklopp Sie und du hast für das Upgrade nur ca. 100 Euro bezahlt aber die doppelte FPS-Leistung als vorher

Habe meine 7970M auch über Ebay für 220€ bekommen. Sind immer mal wieder gebrauchte Karten drinn. Musst halt etwas Geduld haben. Oder Du schreibst mal Clevo DE an, vielleicht nehmen die deine 6970M sogar im Tausch mit Zuzahlung.
Die Idee von SFVogt ist recht gut, Goldenstar könnte das ggf. sogar machen. Schenker oder Hawkforce leider nicht, da hatte ich das damals selbst angefragt
Ansonsten schau mal im NBR auch rein, da sind öfters Karten drin, auch aus Europa (GB; Switzerland, Greece etc.) für recht gute Kurse.
Habe mal eine E-Mail an Goldenstar gesendet. Mal sehen was passiert. Im NBR finde ich aktuell nur Alienware Karten, welche ja nicht passen sollen. Erstmal heißt es in der Sache wohl abwarten.
Eine 780M? Das wäre schon recht nett, aber das Ding wär mir echt zu teuer.. Davor würd ich mir dann wohl doch noch das Angebot von vss leisten können. rofl Spaß beiseite, aber die Nvidia Karten finde ich einfach zu teuer, auch wenn sie paar nette Features und bessere Treiber haben.
Schau dir die Performance im Vergleich zur 7970m an und dann schau mal, wie die 780m mit OC geradezu explodiert was die Leistung angeht.. war bei der 680m genauso
Naja, okay, ist schon ein Argument. Allerdings wäre für mich so ne 7970M schon voll okay, an sich reicht mir ja die 6970M noch, glaube aber, wenn es sich lohnen soll noch ein Upgrade zu machen, dann wird es langsam Zeit.
Alternative könnte es tatsächlich fast sein das Notebook als ganzes zu verkaufen und nen gebrauchten P150EM zu besorgen... mit Glück scheint das auch um 200-300€ Aufpreis machbar. Hänge aber eigentlich auch etwas an meine "kleinen".
Ich würde das Upgrade auf 7970M vorziehen. Alleine um Enduro aus dem Weg zu gehen
Es ist zwar nicht schlecht oder so, aber die Karten performen ohne noch was besser. Außerdem sind gute Quads im P150EM teuer. Du bekommst für 300€ schon einen 2960 XM für das HM.
