1. Uninstall the Trident Z RGB Lighting Control software in Windows
2. Open “Services” in Windows. To do this, please go to “Run…” (WinKey + R) and type “services.msc”.
Then make sure that “AsRogAuraService” and “asComSvc” are “Stopped”.
If they are running, please right click on choose “Stop”. If they aren’t listed, then go on to the next step.
3. Make sure the following folders are deleted:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS
C:\Program Files (x86)\G.SKILL International Enterprise
4. Shut down the system.
5. Cut the power to the system, by disconnecting the power cord or flipping the I/O switch on the power supply, for about two minutes.
Make sure that the motherboard lighting is turned off for about 30 seconds before turning the power on again.
Some motherboards are able to retain power for quite a while, so an additional 30 seconds is just a precaution.
(Any longer than 3 minutes is not necessary to clear out the settings on the modules.)
6. Turn the system back on, and the memory modules should be displaying the default rainbow wave lighting.
