in the past hours, we've saw a couple of alledged "Tim", "TimFx", "Osman_GUNYAZ" and so on, jump out from the usual silence, and, in perfect English, comforting us.
Let me summarize the situation. The last update on the upload status officially published is of 60% in the evening of the 25th June. Then, contact with Mr. Gunyaz have been lost.
Yesterday, we saw a TimFx in the shoutbox of this forum which was proven to be fake and to be user EvilGrizz.
Today, we're read in our shoutbox that a "TimFx" was in the channel #kotf on QuakeNet and was giving updates.
Dubious, I've checked it. No way, as posted in another thread, that user isn't Mr. Gunyaz (Master Obi seems to agree with me, see the german section).
Then, I've found the announcement on ModDB that his website has been hacked and so on. Now, I have suffered from hacker attacks in the past. First, they weren't hackers, but crakers/lamers. Defacement is what they did. I do not see any sign of hacking on Mr. Gunyaz's website. So, I don't understand why breaching into someone's site that doesn't contain anything valuable without leaving a message. Also, the account Osman_GUNYAZ is from a portuguese host and hasn't the double point on the u.
The link that has been provided is downloaded by many of us, we'll see what the hell is it. I recommend checking the file downloaded with a good antivirus.
