Aus dem AVS Forum Post #4231 :
"No matter how much you mess with the individual picture settings, each mode has its own limits, especially when in comes to brightness and OLED light:
100 OLED Light in
Cinema mode is not the same as
100 OLED Light in
Standard or
Vivid . I'm almost shocked Rtings keeps using
cinema and
movie modes to measure nits: "The measurements were taken in 'Cinema' Picture Mode..." under the HDR Peak Brightness section. And then, they are not even consistent, and do
Expert Dark Room for SDR... a mode that is also very dim in comparison.
As I mentioned in a previous post,
Vivid in the CX is drastically different to
Vivid in the C9, and its ABL is almost non-existent in the CX. As I also acknowledged before, I know
Vivid is not liked by a lot of people, but it can actually be tweaked to be "not-terrible", so the option is now there if you do hate ABL for some content, like I do
Also, it doesn't matter if you're using
OLED Light: 100 and
Peak Brightness: High,
Cinema will never reach the levels of brightness
Vivid ,
Standard,
Game or even
Sports
Additionally, in the CX, the brightness is adjusted almost immediately (and I'm tempted to remove the word "almost") when ABL kicks in, while with the C9, you can see the brightness going down when a bright image starts being displayed "
