nope one fourth of fps maybe really, it's absolutely not noticeable, you won't even lose much points in ts & co. let it be 50 points, and even that is much then. i'm running mine in x8 mode too, since some time now, and did some comparisons (which i didn't write down or made screenshots of, sry) with superposition, ts and some ingame benchmarks. it's nothing to break head about
when you are after the absolutely last points in benches, maybe it makes 'sense' to re-seat it into an x16 slot, but otherwise it's really not needed.
