Mein bisheriger Homeserver ist mir zu langsam. Per SMB gehen ca. 18MB/s über die Leitung. Bei zwei parallelen kopierbefehlen lässt sich der Server auch zu 24MB/s gesamt überreden. Das teil ist gut ein Jahr alt und hat vorgestern drei neue Festplatten (3x2TB) bekommen. Bisher waren es 6x500GB @ SW-RAID5 (mdadm) - die fliegen raus, sobald die ich die Dateien aufs neue RAID kopiert habe.
Soweit ich das erkennen kann ist die CPU mein limitierender Faktor, da das RAID mit dmcrypt + LUKS verschlüsselt ist.
Hat jemand einen Vorschlag, wie ich möglichst günstig an 50MB/s über LAN komme? Reicht es, die CPU gegen eine bessere auszutauschen?
