Zitat 1:
I have a computer built around the N4L-VM DH with the Core Duo T2400 processor and Windows MCE 2005. I ran the computer with the built in video for about a month with no problems. I then added the ATI Radeon X1900GT graphics card and an MSI TV Tuner with the ATI Theater 550 chip, and ever since then my computer has been experiencing random lockups.
When I then restart the machine, I get the "overclocking failed" error message even though all the CPU and RAM speeds and voltages are set to default values. The lockups seem to happen more often when the TV tuner is recording a TV program, but not always. They do not seem to be temperature related as I usually run the computer with the ASUS probe running, and the CPU and the motherboard temperatures are around 30C when the lockups occur. I have the latest drivers for all the devices in the computer - does anyone have any idea as to what may be happening?
Zitat 2:Well I represent, Okoro Media Systems
www.okoromedia.com. We don't have any forums setup yet. We found about this after getting a complaints from our customers that order the 2GB upgrade. Through some coincidence we over ordered 1GB modules so all of our that customers prefered the 1GB stick instead of the 2 512mbs had no problems. Durring our QC, all of our hard core benchmarks were clean. 3DMark 2005, 3DMark 2006, Prime95, CPU Burn, Memtestx86, 24hr DVD Movie run. On all of the units they passed. Our problem seems very specific to the MCE LiveTV with two 667mhz sticks. We were able to replicate this on 4 different motherboard with different configs. We actually have the machines sitting side by side and watch in each one crash randomly is quite a sight. So far we working with Asus to replicated the problem on their end. We've tried generic and name brand ram. Nvidia and ATI brand graphics cards and all manor of bios configs tweeks etc. No progress yet but Asus is still cranking away at it. The config that we know fails is the following:
(2) 1GB 667Mhz DDR2 Memory
N4L-VM DH
300-350 Watt PSU
ATI or Nvidia Video Cards (PCIE)
ATI 550 Card
Core Duo T2300
250GB HD
