So:
In der Theorie bringt diese UEFI Installation (mit der UEFI-DVD Option) laut Microsoft nur ~1-2 Sekunden schnellere Bootzeit.
{zu entnehmen aus dieser Worddatei http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/platform/firmware/FirmwareEnhance_Win7.mspx}Today’s firmware is typically a mix of UEFI with earlier components. As Windows operating systems that support native UEFI become pervasive, this will give way to UEFI-only firmware implementations. Today only Windows Server 2008 and 64-bit editions of Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 support native UEFI; 32-bit versions of Windows 7 also do not support native UEFI.
A mixed firmware implementation includes a Compatibility Support Module (CSM). Because the CSM adds I/O overhead during boot, a UEFI-only implementation will save 1–2 additional seconds.
