Wieso zeigt der denn 3500MHz ? - Ich dachte der Turbo geht nur bis 3400MHz

Eigentlich genial, das wäre in Kombination mit einem Q67 Chipsatz eine echte Alternative zu meinem HTPC auf Atom-Basis. Zumindest könnte ich dann auch HD Material flüssig unter Linux schauen.

2,5"-HDDs sind anscheinend nicht unbedingt 24/7-geeignet.
Laut Crystaldiskinfo gibts aktuell einen schwebenden Sektor.
Jetzt sind 9825 Betriebsstunden drauf und gekauft müsste ich sie im August 2009 haben.

Das wär jetzt schon die zweite 2,5"-HDD, bei der sich Sektoren verabschieden bzw. Reservesektoren fällig werden.
Die erste hat aber nur ein Jahr gehalten, und da lief der Rechner nur ca. die Hälfte der Zeit 24/7.

Boah das war ja nen cooler Bug.

Der FAH Tracker lief bislang immer problemlos auf dem 3xGPU Folder. Irgendwann machte GPU1 die Grätsche und der Tracker meinte die WU steht auf Pause *lol*

Jetzt hab ich den Tracker weggelassen und alle Clients manuell aus den Verzeichnissen gestartet und nun laufen alle Clients wieder. Auch der wo ich schon einen Kartedefekt vermutet hatte. Komische Sache.

Selbst mein Gulfi mit 2 Karten macht mehr als sonne Sandy Bürste.,beide im fast Normaltakt.

naja, wie ich schon sagte, da ist nix übertaktet, weder Ram, noch Prozessor, noch QPI.
Für 24/7 sollte es das effizienteste sein, was W pro PPD angeht.

Für mich ist ein 300W Sys für 24/7 einfach zu heftig.
 
300W ja nur, wenn CPU & GPU falten. CPU allein sind ja max. 200W.

Hab dich und Tom mal unten im ersten Post genannt.
 
Naja, schau mal was der alles noch im Sys drinhat.Alleine die 2x GTX 470 brauchen fürs nichtstun 50W. Er kann ja mal schreiben was die Maschine so verbraucht :)

Hei.habe ich noch nie gemessen was die beiden Kisten so verbrauchen,die beiden 470er falten ja,die beiden 260 sind aber meistens aus an dem Rechner zocke ich da brauche ich die Karten.:wink:
 
heute morgen wurde auf meiner Faltkiste eine 2685 fertig. Danach kam eine 2684 (Run=0, Clone=1,Gen=50) rein und damit begannen die Probleme. Nach ca. 5 Sekunden ging die Prozessorlast wieder gegen 0. Es wurde immer wieder die gleiche 2684 geladen und gestartet und nach jeweils 5 Sekunden war schon wieder Prozessorlast bei 0. Hier mal ein Auszug aus dem entsprechende Log (hat noch jemand bei dieser 2684er WU ähnliches beobachtet?) Zum Glück kam dann eine 6900er rein.

nö, sowas hatte ich noch nicht.
Bei mir wollte eine P2684 mal nicht mehr weiterlaufen, nachdem mir die Notabschaltung wegen Pumpendefekt den Rechner ausgeschaltet hatte.
Da gabs keinen Fortschritt mehr nachdem ich den Client wieder gestartet hatte (die CPU wurde aber voll ausgelastet).

Wie hoch sind eigentlich deine Temps bei deinen Prozzis mit der h70? Und auf wieviel GHz kannst du sie damit laufen lassen? Ich habe in meiner Faltkiste nämlich nicht viel Platz und mir auch überlegt die h70 als Alternative zu besorgen.

@Pinnemann: Habe ja auch die H70, allerdings auf einem I7-980. Der läuft mit 4 Ghz und wird beim falten ca. 52 °C +/- 4 °C. Die beiden Lüfter die bei der H70 dabei sind kannst Du allerdings in die Tonne kloppen, taugen nichts. Habe diese gegen 2 Nocuta Lüfter gewechselt. Sind ersten viel leiser und kühlen auch besser. Macht ca. 7-8 °C aus wo die Nocuta besser sind (mit den Corsair Lüftern war ich bei etwas über 60 °C).
 
hey Leute ich möchte ja ungern bei i7-Diskussionen stören aber nun folgendes:
Ich hab nen PII 955BE und nach einiger Anleitung lief das jetzt auch mal ne weile ok.
Derzeit habe ich rein theorethisch 5000PPD mit meinem Prozie (alles normal) allerdings fängt mein System ab etwa 5% einer WU an instabil zu werden. Erst Skype.exe hat ein Problem festgestellt und muss beendetw erden, dann ICQ, dann stürzt der Soundtreiber ab (Asus Xonar), dann kommen beie einzelnen Bildern (besonders die Albumbilder beim WMP) extreme Farbfehler (alles rosa) und wenn man dann noch en paar Programme startet hat man irgendwann den Bluescreen. Ich lasse nur von der CPU falten, Temperaturen sind laut AOD bei max 53°C.
Da ich mein System in der Zwischenzeit 3 mal neuinstalliert hab (SSD is reingekommen) und das Problem immernoch vorhanden ist, der Rechenr allerdings weder bei Furmark oder Prime95 Ärger macht frag ich mich natürlich was hier schief läuft.

Klassische Fehlersuche würde ich mal sagen.

Zu viel OC ?
Zu wenig Spannung auf CPU, Board, RAM ? RAM scheint nicht allzu abwegig.
Vllt sogar Graka defekt ?
Netzteil zu schwach ?


Check als erstes mal die ganzen Spannungen durch. Wenn Prime & Furmark laufen, sollte es F@H eigentlich auch. :confused:
 
@Hypocrisy: nix OC, Netzteil hat 650W, Graka läuft super^^ das is ja der Witz, nur Folding@Home macht probleme und die Clients sind die neusten. Es wird auch bei den Clients kein Fehler festgestellt, die Berechnung wird abgebrochen und er schnappt sich nen neuen WU. Außerdem ist mir total rätselhaft warum erst einige Programme (Immer dieselben mit der Reihenfolge: Skype>ICQ>Soundkarte) abstürzen

Schalte mal bei beiden den Sound ab. Ggf die Xonar in nen anderen Slot. PCI Latency steht auf 32 ?
Oder bau die Xonar mal aus und teste was passiert.
 
ok werd ich bei gelegenheit (wochenende) mal machen; Latency is BIOS-Default, müsste 32 sein. meinst du es liegt am Treiber? (der macht ja hin und wieder mal ärger, wenn ein spiel abstürzt)
Anderer PCI-Slot geht leider nicht wegen der Relais der Karte, die kriegen im untersten Slot (das ist der andere) immer Probleme wegen des "starken" Magnetismus, der halt an der Oberseite des Netzteils auftritt (die Relais gehen dann andauernd an und aus xD). Ist leider wirklich so, aber gut die Relais haben halt auch nur 5mm Abstand zum Netzteil, da können so Phänomene durchaus mal auftreten.

Die 2684 (Run 0, Clone 1, Gen 50) wird wohl ne BadWu sein. Ich hatte gerade genau das gleiche. Eigentlich rennen die BigWus bei mir super durch (Core i 920@4GHz), bei dieser hier, hatte ich aber das Selbe Phänomen wie IceMan62. Hab sie auch schon im F@H Forum gemeldet, aber da muss wohl ein Moderator erst die Beiträge freischalten ... keine Ahnung.
