User location - Central Ontario, Canada. I tend to be aggressive driver. Previous car - Lincoln LS-V8. 2007 MKZ bought Dec. 07. No defects to date. awd excellent in deep snow/wet snow conditions. Cornering ability 10-15 km/hr less on MKZ than LS, but still very good. Passing ability as good as LS-V8 under most conditions.
Braking- more than adequate in all situations encounteerd to date. Auto climate control excellent all seasons, especially in winter -heat kicks in quickly. Needs heater in windshield under wipers. Ride quality good compromise between firm and comfortable. Adjustable leather seating very comfortable on long drives. Telescopic/tilt adjustment poor - far better on LS. GPS system OK, but not as informative, flexible, as my portable Garmin GPS. Trunk commodious but opening limited in dimensions. Fold down rear seats great for skis, etc. THX stereo system good but could use more beef. Best highway mileage - 8.4 litres/100km -33.7 mpg (Imp. gal.)- regular fuel. Overall very satisfied.
