Hello all.
First, I’d like to thank Benny for all his hard work and efforts in managing this Group Buy – a huge thank you Benny, you did an outstanding job! I must also take this opportunity to thank Nils for all his help and support – thank you my dear friend.
I’d like to thank everyone here for their support over the past year. I can’t begin to express my appreciation for the enthusiasm you’ve demonstrated towards the little items I’ve produced. Without you there would be no murderMod. This fact is what motivates me in my efforts to produce products that are hopefully interesting and unique – and not simply generic and uninspired.
This occasion marks a significant milestone in the murderMod journey – we will no longer be offering Stealth Faceplates after the current production run is complete. These items are simply too challenging to produce in numbers. One day in the coming months, I will illustrate the production process with images – I think you will be surprised at how many steps it takes to create a Stealth Faceplate!
The plan now is to design and produce a new model that can be manufactured with much less manual labor – of course it will not have the same “handmade” qualities of the Stealth Faceplate but I’d rather not have someone unhappy with what they call “imperfections” with what I would consider
character features - but this is of course subjective. IMHO, when products are made entirely by machines they lack this custom-made quality – something I personally believe adds value. In any event, I feel under the circumstances it’s time to move on. I hope those who have original Stealth Faceplates enjoy them as I’m personally very proud to have produced well over 60 of these items and I can tell you that if they could talk, each one would tell a story of how it fought me!
As we now move into a new year, my goal is that we work to produce new and unique products. I will continue learn from my experiences and do my best to create and introduce items that will hopefully be interesting. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me by email – I appreciate all feedback and input and will always do my best to respond.
Thank you again and I wish you all the best in 2010 – both in your work and your personal lives. Cheers All.
Frohes neues Jahr 2010!
Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Charles H
