kleines lustiges Minispielchen: Hide and Seek
The folks in our Organization have developed a new game that friends can play together. It really wouldn't work in a public match as trust is required but we have a lot of fun with it. A voice chat server (we use Mumble) is recommended. There are free Mumble servers for up to 12 people available.
So it's basically Hide and Seek and it works like this:
Set up a private game in Free Flight mode and get all your friends into it.
We found this game works best on Dying Star as it's darker.
Try to all use comparable ships (M50's and 350r's are too fast and Hornet Ghosts and Trackers are cheating).
One person is "it" (for us usually the newest member) when you all spawn you stay perfectly still.
On your honor, you don't target the "it" guy and if he crosses your field of view you turn to look away.
The hider gets into a good hiding spot (there are some asteroid tunnels and such) and then hits 4, 5, and 6 to power down all systems.
On his "ready" the seekers all fan out and try to find him.
If spotted, the hider can engage and try to kill the seekers that found him and if successful can hide again.
If killed or forced to crash the seeker that killed him or spotted the hider first is now "it".
If the game runs too long then the hider will start tapping "C" to get the closest target and announce it on the voice chat (or text if you aren't talking). This will allow all the others to target the closest seeker and tighten the net.
After the kill, then everyone comes to a complete stop and then rinse and repeat.
This is a good way to engage those in your Org that aren't the best dogfighters or if you are just bored. My Org has a weekly event night where we do this and other goofy stuff and this has been the thing that people like the most. Hope you all find this as fun as we do.
Got the Arena Commander blues? Not a good dogfighter? Try our "new" game. : starcitizen
